With 100 players bagging up chips at the end of Day 1c, the starting flights for the 2012-13 World Series of Poker Circuit River Rock Main Event have officially come to an end. At the end of the day, Lillian Chan was the one holding the most chips with an impressive stack of 228,600. Chan's stellar performance on Day 1c will put her in fourth overall place going into Day 2 behind only Jingjing Liu (266,000), Norman Overdijk (242,000), John Cracic (231,000).

A total of 386 players sat down at the tables for Day 1c, which brings the official registration for this event to a whopping 1,032 total entries. This outstanding performance gives this event a total prize pool of $1,548,000 where the top 108 players cash and first place will receive a payday of $286,382.

Chan was spotted by our PokerNews Live Reporting team holding onto a big stack early on in the day and she continued to blossom as play wore on. In one key pot, Chan opened with a raise before the flop only to be three-bet by an opponent on the button. Chan came over the top with a four-bet and found herself facing a five-bet shove from what she described as a "tight player". Ultimately, Chan decided to make the call and rolled over {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} which was ahead of her opponent's {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}. The board came down {3-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and she was able to clinch the knockout and pick up roughly 45,000 in tournament chips.

Also making a return to the felt for Day 2 will be Sean Giesbrecht. We caught Giesbrecht sporting a large stack early on in Day 1a but he saw his demise before the day's end. After firing another bullet on Day 1b and seeing no success, this was Giesbrecht's last chance for glory. Fortunately, he was able to amass a solid amount of chips and finish the day with 204,600 which is good for one of the top chip positions going into the second day of play.

Other notable stacks to move onto Day 2 include Roberto D'Amato (210,000) Ki Nam (201,500), Calvin Anderson (165,200), Eric Truong (159,400), and Justin Leeson (122,000).

Day 1c saw the return of several players from previous flights attempt to grasp onto their last chance to move on. Players like Adrienne "talonchick" Rowsome, Matt Affleck, Robert Cheung, Shawn Buchanan, Jeff Blenkarn, Flemming Lund, Doug Lee, and Gavin Smith were all eliminated from play once more without ever getting the chance to see Day 2.

A grand total of 246 players will hit the felt on Monday in the River Rock Theatre to continue their quest for WSOP Circuit glory. The fields from the three starting days will combine to see the players battle for ten 60-minute levels and a spot among the prestigious 108 players to make money. Welcome back to our coverage of the2012-13 World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event at River Rock Casino! Today will be the last opportunity for players to take a stack into play for Day 2. Yesterday's play saw 352 players come out for Day 1b and at the end of the day only 87 remained. Topping the leader board so far is Jingjing Liu who finished yesterday with a stack of 266,000. With Day 1c expected to have the largest player turnout we'll know by the end of the night if anyone can overtake her place and become the overall chip leader going into Day 2.

Not far behind Liu is Day 1a chipleader Norman Overdijk who is sporting a stack of 242,000. Other notable names to progress from the first two starting flights include Greg Mueller (180,300), Noah Vaillancourt (172,100), Ashkan Razavi (155,400), Sandra Wong (126,700), Scott Stanko (120,000), and Matt Jarvis (94,600),

Yesterday's play saw a slew of notable names come to the felt for the first time only to find themselves without any chips by the end of the day. David "Doc" Sands, Gavin Smith, Charlie Coultas, Shawn Buchanan, Terrence Chan, and Adrienne "talonchick" Rowsome are just a handful of those players. Others saw Day 1b as their chance to fire a second bullet in this tournament. Unfortunately for several known names including Scott Clements, Matt Affleck, Robert Cheung, Laurence Grondin, Sean Giesbrecht, and Jason Koon, this meant a second trip to the rail.

Players will once again play 15 40-minute levels today with a 45-minute dinner break after nine levels. We expect to see some solid play today especially from those who are firing a third bullet. Be sure to stay tuned as we bring you all of the latest updates from the tournament floor!
