Hall Doubles

We caught up to find Braden Hall all in for his last 64,000 with {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} against an opponent's {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

Hall struck gold on the {A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop by pairing his ace. The {6-Spades} on the turn and the {K-Diamonds} on the river sealed the deal and he was able to clinch the double up. Hall is now sittingon about 130,000.

Overdijk Spikes Ace

The following hand was recapped to us by Norman Overdijk. He raised before the flop holding {A-}{K-Spades} and it folded around the player in the big blind who three-bet. Overdijk moved all in for a substantial amount and his opponent called, tabling {K-}{K-}.

The future looked bleak for Overdijk but he was able to spike an ace on the flop and scoop up a large pot.

Trips For Giesbrecht

A middle position player opened to 12,000 and Sean Giesbrecht called from the button. The small blind tagged along as well and the trio saw {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} fall. The small blind took charge with a 16,000 bet and the original raiser folded. Giesbrecht flat-called and the turn was the {9-Clubs}.

The small blind continued for 21,000 and Giesbrecht called once again. Fifth street was the {10-Clubs} which paired the board. The small blind fired a third bullet for 24,000 and Giesbrecht called one more time. The small blind showed {5-Spades}{4-Spades} for tens and fives but was behind Giesbrecht's {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for trip tens. He currently is sitting on about 435,000

Baron Seven-Bet Ships

We caught up on the later stages of the hand, but were told the following:

A player opened for a raise to 10,500 only to have Isaac Baron come over the top for 25,000 total. Baron's opponent slid out a four-bet to 42,000 and Baron wasted little time five-betting to 60,000.

Baron's opponent then opted to six-bet to 78,000. Baron seven-bet all in and his opponent folded, showing {3-}{2-} offsuit. Baron is now sitting on about 25,0000.

Bullets For Stiglitz

Ashkan Razavi opened with a raise to 8,000 from middle position. The player on the button announced that he was all in for 35,000 total and Scott Stiglitz peered down at his cards in the small blind. Stiglitz announced a flat call and the rest of the table folded, allowing the cards to be shown:

Stiglitz: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Stiglitz was able to score the knockout, boosting his stack to about 118,000

Levine Makes Correct Move

We found Matthew Levine opened to 9,500 from middle position and the big blind was his only caller. The flop brought {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Levine's opponent checked. He continued for 8,000 and his opponent called. The {8-Clubs} turned and the action went check-check, prompting the {2-Hearts} to complete the board.

Levine's opponent checked once again and Levine took about forty-five seconds to check behind.

"Good check," said his opponent who showed {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a turned two pair. Levine tabled {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, tapped the table, and watched as the pot was pushed across the table.
