Flight 1b Ends, Bundy Leading the Pack

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Another 12 levels in the books and it's Jason Bundy leading the way after flight 1b. Bundy was able to bag up 160,600 chips after battling with the likes of WSOP Commentator David Tuchman and Doug Lee all day. But he isn't the only one with chips. Following close behind after a reentry is Eric "Basebaldy" Baldwin who bagged up 146,000.

We missed the hand where Tuchman busted, but Bundy told us that Tuchman limped for 600, and Bundy himself also limped for 600 only to see Cornel Cimpan shove all in for 5,500. Tuchman and Bundy both flatted and saw a high flop.

Bundy told us that Tuchman check called all in for nearly 30,000 after he shoved all in with . Tuchman was holding and Bundy's pair of queens was enough to eliminate both Tuchman and Cimpan.

After the hand Bundy was sitting on a stack of nearly 140,000 and he had ups and downs before reaching his final count of 160,600.

Baldwin was stuck between 60,000 and 80,000 for most of play today, but during the last level he played a huge pot to pull ahead of the pack.

Preflop, one player limped in. The player under the gun + 1 raised to 2,400. Baldwin called, the player next to Baldwin called, the player next to him called, and then the player on the button moved all in for 11,200 chips. Kyle Cartwright tanked for a bit before folding, and action folded back to the player under the gun + 1. The player tanked for a bit before calling, and action was back on Baldwin who responded by moving all in for around 90,000.

Everyone else folded and after a long while in the tank, the player under the gun + 1 folded {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} face up.

"Good fold," Baldwin said turning up {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. The player on the button held {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and it was off to the races.

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs} giving Baldwin a full house and a huge stack.

Also still alive coming into tomorrow is former WSOPC ring winner Doug Lee who was able to build a big stack after stealing mints, and chips from Jason Bundy. Lee enters the day tomorrow as one of his flight's chip leaders with 116,000. Also making it into day 2 was actor James Wood who bagged up 109,100 chips. Woods has often been seen at the WSOP and he may be able to bag up his first big cash here.

Busting out at the end of the day were Tom McCormick and Matt Weber who both went out with only one level left of play.

Action will begin tomorrow at 12 p.m. with both fields combining and you can check out PokerNews for all the action.

Affleck Gone

After an up and down day, Matt Affleck has finally busted. The players at the table told us that he shoved his {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} all in preflop and ran into Allan Le's {K-}{K-}.

After bricking everything, Affleck hit the rail and Le moved up in the chip counts.

Baldwin Comes Up Huge

Eric Baldwin is one of the chip leaders after winning a crazy pot.

Affleck Loses his Double and More

Just after Matt Affleck doubled up, he quickly lost it back.

Affleck raised to 2600 from middle position and was called by Allan Le in the cutoff and one other player in the small blind.

The flop fell {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and the player in the small blind moved all in for 20800. Affleck quickly moved all in over the top and Le folded.

Small Blind: {7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Affleck: {A-}{Q-}

The player in the small blind would need running hearts, a {5-} or a {10-} to secure a double up.

Turn: {2-Clubs}

A safe card for Affleck that gave no extra outs.

River: {5-Hearts}

Gin for the player in the small blind who doubled up and knocked Affleck back down to around 25,000

Affleck Doubles Through Le

Matt Affleck now has around 50,000 chips after doubling up through Allan Le.

Le had put in a raise from the small blind to 10,000, and when action came back to Affleck, he raised all in for 23,600. A player on the button, who had at least 2,000 chips in the pot, tanked a bit before folding. Le then made the call and cards were turned up.

Affleck: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Le: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} and that was good enough for Affleck to secure a double.
