Andrew Higgins Eliminated in 14th Place ($13,355)

Andrew Higgins

"How Do You Counterfeit Tens?"

That's what Andrew Higgins was left wondering after he lost his all in.

Higgins shoved all in preflop from the button for 255,000 and was quickly called by Zhong Chen in the big blind.

Higgins: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Chen: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

"I''ve got two overs," Chen said before the flopped rolled out, but he would have much more than that after the flop came {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Chen picked up not only counterfeit outs, but a royal flush draw to boot.

The turn though almost ended it when the {K-Clubs} hit, leaving Higgins drawing dead to just one of the two remaning {10-}s.

The river {4-Spades} was no help unfortunately and Higgens was eliminated in 14th place for $13,355 while Zhong Chen moved to around 1,500,00 in chips.

Brian Bumpas Eliminated in 15th Place ($13,355)

Brian Bumpas-15th Place

We didn't catch the hand as it happened, but Bumpas told us after what happened. According to him, he shoved all in for his last 144,000 when it folded to him in the small blind. Bumpas had {10-}{10-}, but unfortunately for him, David Malka woke up with {k-}{k-} in the big blind. Bumpas couldn't improve, and he was eliminated, while Malka jumps back up to 675,000.

Jared Kawalsky Eliminated in 16th Place ($11,000)

Jared Kawalsky open shoved for his last 250,000, and action folded around to Greg Brask. He moved all in for his last 700,000, and everyone else folded their hand. "I'm dead," Kawalsky said. "Nah you're probably live," Brask responded.

Kawalsky: {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Brask: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Indeed Kawalsky was live, but he would need one of the three remaining aces. The board rand down {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, and Brask bulked his stack up to 1.05 million.

Haiau Han Eliminated in 17th Place ($11,000)

Haiau Han-17th Place
Haiau Han-17th Place

We missed the action, but we saw that Haiau Han got the rest of his chips in preflop holding {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}. He was up against the {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, and while Lee didn't pair the flop, it was about as good as it could be, coming {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Lee called out for a ten, and sure enough, the {10-Diamonds} hit the turn, giving Lee the straight. The river brought the {3-Diamonds}, and that didn't help Han, who was sent to the payout desk.

Meanwhile, Lee is back up to 500,000 after that hand.

Ronnie Fante Eliminated in 18th Place ($11,000)

Ronnie Fante-18th Place
Ronnie Fante-18th Place

Action folded around to Greg Brask, and he moved all in for his last 200,000. The next player to act, Eric Varela, made the call, and it got to Ronnie Fante. He shoved all in for less then Brask, and the blinds got out of the way. The cards were flipped, and Fante was in great shape.

Fante: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Varela: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Brask: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Fante was well out in front, but everything changed when the dealer fanned out a {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. Yup, that's the nuts for Brask. He would only lose if one of his opponents made runner runner, but the {5-Diamonds} on the turn sealed the hand. The meaningless river was the {2-Clubs}, and Brask secured the near triple up, while Fante was sent packing.
