Kessler Folds River

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

We found Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler and an opponent looking down at a completed board of {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. With roughly 3,000 already in the middle, Kessler was facing a bet of 3,775 from his opponent.

Kessler thought for some time before finally deciding to release his hand. Kessler watched as the pot was pushed across the table to his opponent. The Chainsaw is currently sitting on about 19,000.

Set For Reigning Champ

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Action was opened with a middle position raise to 375. It folded all of the way around to last year's champion, Christopher Bonn, who called from the big blind.

The dealer fanned {3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs} on the felt and Bonn checked. His opponent continued for 475 and Bonn flat called.

Fourth street brought the {2-Spades} and Bonn came out swinging for 1,000. A call from his opponent prompted the {8-Hearts} to fall on the river and complete the board. This time Bonn flung 2,000 into the middle. His opponent called once more and Bonn showed {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} for a flopped set of treys. His opponent mucked and the reigning champ dragged in the pot.

Silberstein Vaults Into Lead

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

We missed the action but arrived at the table just in time to see a mountain of chips pushed toward Ken Silberstein while another player took his leave from the tournament area.

From what we can gather, the eliminated player had a set of aces that was bested by Silberstein's straight. Last year's runner up is currently sitting at the top of the chip counts with about 42,000 in chips.

Holley Out

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

When we came upon John Holley's table we found his seat vacant. We're assuming we'll be seeing the Harrah's Tunica Casino Champion back again for the second flight this evening.

Bonn Scores a Knockout

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Earlier in the day we reported a hand where reigning champion Christopher Bonn made a set of treys against an opponent. We recently came upon their table to see Bonn put the nail in that player's coffin.

On a flop of {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, an early positioned player and Bonn checked over to the player on the button. He fired 1,100 and received two calls. The turn was the {2-Spades} and there were two checks to the button once more. He moved all in for 8,050. The first player folded and Bonn carefully counted out a call.

Bonn: {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Bonn was behind but found exactly what he was looking for when the {Q-Diamonds} peeled off on fifth street, giving him the nut flush and sending his opponent to the rail. By scooping up this pot, Bonn is now sitting on about 36,000.
