Nguyen Can't Get There

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

We picked up with the action on a board of {Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. A player checked over to Kenny Nguyen who moved out 4,200. Nguyen's opponent thought for a moment before placing a call in front of him.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Nguyen's opponent checked. Nguyen took pause before sighing and checking back. His opponent showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for top two and Nguyen laughed while flashing {5-Spades}{3-Spades} for a busted straight draw. Nguyen watched as the pot was pushed to his opponent. He's now down to about 15,500.

Garcia Flushed

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Cord Garcia opened with a late position raise to 1,025. It folded to the big blind who became the sole caller.

The dealer fanned {7-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} on the felt and Garcia's opponent check-called a bet of 1,200. The {K-Hearts} on the turn prompted a bet of 2,500 from the big blind. Garcia flat called to see the {9-Diamonds} complete the board. A check to Garcia prompted a bet of 3,000 that was quickly called.

Garcia showed {K-Spades}{3-Spades} but was ultimately bested by his opponent's {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a flush. The pot was moved to the opposite end of the table and Garcia is now sitting on about 24,500.

Checking on Chainsaw

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

We passed by Allen Kessler's table to see him cut out a raise to an unknown amount before the flop. A player in the blinds called to see the {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop fall down. A check to Kessler prompted a 1,400-chip bet. Kessler's opponent folded and Chainsaw was pushed the pot.

Despite this small victory, Kessler is still sitting just around starting stack with about 20,000 in chips.

Rice Runs Into Tens Full

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

We saw a player bet 1,700 on a flop of {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Sean Rice called and the third player in the hand folded. The two took in the {Q-Clubs} on the turn and once again the player bet 1,700. Rice stuck around once more and the {10-Clubs} completed the board.

"Same bet," remarked Rice's opponent, once again tossing out 1,700. Rice called.

Rice's opponent showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for tens full of sevens and Rice mucked his hand. He's now sitting on about 25,000.
