Loren Brown Eliminated in 15th Place ($8,727)

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

As we were typing up a previous post, Loren Brown was eliminated. We went over to see how it happened, and Kevin Eyster, the man who scored the knockout, told us how it went down.

Eyster opened the action to 30,000 and Brown three bet it to 60,000. Eyster called, and the flop came down {9-Diamonds}{3-}{5-Diamonds}. Eyster checked to Brown, who moved all in for his last 110,000. Eyster made the call, and we had a coin flip.

Brown: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Eyster: {7-}{7-}

Brown actually had the slight advantage, but the board bricked out on him, coming a non diamond {6-} and {3-}.

Eyster bumped his stack back up to 1.001 million

Chris Karambinis Eliminated in 16th Place ($7,262)

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

We only caught the tail end of the hand, but the players at the table filled us in on what happened. Kevin Eyster raised it up in early position, and Chris Karambinis shoved for his last 95,000. Lawrence Blazer then shoved all in for 200,000 total, and Eyster made the call.

Eyster: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Karambinis: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Blazer: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Blazer held the lead, but that quickly changed when the flop came {6-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Eyster was now in great position to secure a double knockout, but the turn brought the {9-Hearts}. This gave Blazer flush draw outs, and he hit one of them on the river, the {q-Hearts}.

After the stacks were broken down, Blazer bumped his stack up to 525,000, while Eyster dropped to 850,000. It was a great run for Karambinis, who told us before his Day 1 flight that he was going to win this tournament. Unfortunately for him, he fell 15 spots short.

Matt Stolmeier Eliminated in 17th Place {$7,262)

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

Issac Kirchner opened the action with a raise to 28,000, and it folded around to Matt Stolmeier in the big blind. He moved all in for 127,000 total, and Kirchner tanked for about 20 seconds before calling.

Stolmeier: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Kirchner: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The flop was safe for Stolmeier , coming {2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. He maintaned his lead when the {3-Hearts} hit hte turn, but the dealer slammed the {6-Spades} down on the river, giving Kirchner the win.

A stunned Stolmeier collected his payout ticket, while Kirchner jumped into the lead, now weilding a stack of 1.2 million.

Ho On the Go

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

Chris Karambinis made it 29,000 to go in the hijack, and Ting Ho three bet it to 80,000. Karambinis quickly called when it got back to him, and the flop came down {3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Both players checked, and the turn brought the {2-Spades}. Karambinis made it 80,000 to go, and Ho bumped it up to 185,000.

Karambinis made the call, and the river brought the {8-Spades}. Both players checked, and Karambinis said "you got it." Ho tabled {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}, and Karambinis mucked his hand.

Ho has rocketed up the leader board in the last two hours, as she is now sitting on 960,000. Meanwhile, Karambinis has been going downhill for quite some time now, and is sitting with just over 100,000.

Let's Get It On

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante

The 17 remaining players are back in their seats, and we are ready to get underway again. We will play two more levels, or until a final table is reached.

Level: 24

Blinds: 7,000/14,000

Ante: 2,000

Ho Doubles Through Campanello

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Ting Ho raised it up to 24,000 in early position, and Bryan Campanello was next to act. He tossed out a three bet to 50,000, and Kevin Eyster flat called on the button. Ho also came along for the ride, and the flop came down {3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Ho checked to Campanello, who fired out 60,000. Both Eyster and Ho called, and the turn brought the {k-Spades}.

Ho open shoved all in for her last 163,000, and Campanello went into the tank. After about 90 seconds, he tossed in the call, and Eyster let the two do battle.

Ho: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Campanello: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Ho caught a set on the flop, and had Campanello drawing very thin. The river brought the {9-Spades}, and Ho secured the double up to 675,000. Meanwhile, Campanello, who has been in the top 5 chip counts for the second half of the day, is down to 590,000.

James Faircloth Eliminated in 18th Place ($7,262)

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Ashly Butler made it 24,000 to go from early position, and then James Faircloth shoved all in for his last 175,000. It got back around to Butler, and he asked for a count. As soon as he heard the final total, he tossed in chips for the call.

Faircloth: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Butler: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Faircloth was in great shape to secure the double up, and he kept that control on a {3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop. However, Butler spiked the {7-Clubs} on the turn, and just like that, the tables turned. The river came close to being a miracle, but it was the {9-Spades}.

After that pot, Butler has cracked the million chip mark, with 1.01 million.
