Day One saw a number of big names hit the rail including Kathy Liebert, John Phan, Michael Mizrachi, Gavin Smith, Chad Brown and Alex Jacob.

Among those returning tomorrow are two-time bracelet winners Josh Arieh and Tom Schneider, sponsored pros Vanessa Rousso and Lee Markholt, the veteran "Captain" Tom Franklin, as well as young guns Jordan Rich and Ryan Young.

Mark Garner currently enjoys the chip lead with 263,500.

We hope you'll join us tomorrow at noon CST for our continued coverage of the Grand Casino Tunica WSOPC Main Event as we play down to the final nine contestants.

Until then, good night and good luck!

Play Concludes for the Day

Preceded by an extremely uneventful level of play, it has just been announced the play has concluded for the day. Tournament staff will race off the black (100) chips and the 29 remaining players will bag their chips and return tomorrow. Official chip counts will be posted as soon as they become available.

Action Slows Considerably

With just 35 minutes remaining in the 12th and final level, the action has slowed considerably. Many players are trying to make Day 2, and it has become quite apparent based on the speed at which they act on, and subsequently play, their hands.

David "Devilfish" Ulliott Eliminated by Vanessa Rousso

Vanessa Rousso limped from early position, as did Mark Garner. Action folded to Devilfish, who raised all in for 14,200 total. Action folded back around to Rousso, who announced, "Raise." She pushed out 28,400 and Garner folded. The players showed:

Rousso: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Ulliott: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}

Rousso said, "Good luck Fish," but apparently the poker gods weren't listening. The flop missed both players and the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn had Ulliott drawing dead. David "Devilfish" Ulliott was eliminated with 35 minutes remaining in Day 1.

Field Update

35 players remain on four tables. The average stack is 102,857. Play will continue through the completion of Level 12 or when the field reaches 27 players (seven more eliminations), whichever comes first.

Darrell Dicken Eliminated by Tom Schneider

Jeremiah Vinsant raised to 7,000 from under the gun. Ryan Young called from early position and Tom Schneider moved all in for 20,000. Darrell Dicken, already having 2,400 in the pot asked, "What two cards can I fold here?" as he moved his remaining 13,100 towards the center. Vinsant folded and Young instantly called. Vinsant commented that he folded pocket threes. The players showed:

Schneider: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Dicken: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Young: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The flop missed everyone coming {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. All three players watched as the dealer quickly laid down the {4-Diamonds} on the turn and the {2-Spades} on the river. Dicken shook his head in disappointment and said, "Nice hand Tom." "Gigabet" stood up and casually wandered towards the exit.
