Cyndy Violette Is Back In Action

Cyndy Violette, who was all-in not too long ago for her tournament life, is now very much in mix. She just won two big hands in a row. The first was against Phil Hellmuth in razz, the second against Greg Raymer in Stud. Both hands were won without a showdown as her opponents opted for fold on 6th street. Violette is now very much alive with about 90K in chips.

The Younger Brunson Staying Active

Both Doyle and Todd Brunson are still alive in the tournament and Todd is showing he's not afraid to push the chips around. In a heads up Stud hand against Thomas Weideman, Brunson bet dark on 7th street and Weideman made the call. Brunson showed two pair which was good enough to take it down. Brunson is now at 128K and Weideman is sitting on 60K.

Tomko Takes It Down

Dewey Tomko just scooped a big pot against Annie Duke. Tomko had rolled up dueces and Annie, despite a pair showing, couldn't beat three of a kind. Tomko is up to 112K after this hand, Duke is holding steady with 220K.

Mizrachi Lets His Flush Do the Talking

Robert Mizrachi and Gavin Smith just tangled in a hand that saw betting action on every street. Smith check/called the whole way and when Mizrachi showed him a king-high flush, he turned his cards face up and tossed them in. Mizrachi pads his stack and now has a healthy 170K. Gavin Smith is still in fine shape with 190K.
