The Jig Is Up

In between hands at the feature table, Eli Elezra (often known to portray himself as a bit of a luckbox) said something self-deprecating about his game. Erick Lindgren responded with "You know, this whole things of you acting like you suck is getting a little old. You're the best I've ever seen."

Eli is the current chip leader and has been for a majority of the tournament.

Chop It Up

The flop came down {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Barry Greenstein and Chris Reslock were heads up. Reslock bet and Greenstein raised. Reslock called with little hesitation. The turn brought the {6-Diamonds}. Both players checked. The river {8-Spades} brought the low into the picture. Reslock bet and Greenstein called. Reslock showed {A-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Clubs}(X) for nut low and a pair of aces for high. Barry said "chop it up" as he flipped up {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}(X)(X) for two pair which was enough to win him the high.

Free Fallin'

Phil Hellmuth says he has not won a pot today. His chip stack would back that statement up. Phil is at 106,000, probably the shortest stack on the board, and Mike Matusow is coming over from his table between every hand, and giving Phil the needle. A sample:

"Phil, your not doing a very good job of dodging bullets today, baby."

and

"Phil, you don't need much. You don't have much, but you don't need much!"
