Sharing is Caring

Sherkhan Farnood was recently spotted passing a pack of chewing gum around the table. Most players took a piece and when the package reached Mark Vos, who Farnood had recently taken a large pot from, Farnood sympathetically said "You....you better take two."

Scotty Nguyen Dodges a Freeroll

Scotty Nguyen was all in on the turn on a board of K-5-4-6 with two hearts. His opponent showed first and Nguyen said "I don't like that hand baby." Both men had 7-8 for the nut straight, but his opponent had a heart draw to go with it. The river blanked and The Prince of Poker let out a sigh of relief as the dealer chopped the pot.

Rainman at the Rail

There's a young fan watching at the rail who is an autistic savant, his name is Mark Heying. He has a photographic memory and remembers every poker hand he has seen. He is known to Kristy Gazes and she has been taking some of the pros over to say hello in between hands. Daniel Negreanu and Mark shared a laugh over a hand Daniel had played a long time ago and Tony G has been having a chat as well. Just think how dangerous a player would be if he could remember every hand you ever played!

Kevin O'Donnell Eliminated

On a flop of {J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, Kevin O'Donnell bet the pot of 7,000, with about 2,500 behind it, his opponent put him all in, and O'Donnell called. The hands,

Kevin: {K-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Opponent: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}

the turn {3-Spades} and

river: {9-Diamonds}

bring O'Donnell no help, and he is eliminated from the tournament.

No Back-to-Back For Bill Edler

One player calls for 200 and is all in, Bill Edler raises and Scotty Nguyen calls in the big blind. Scotty Nguyen checks the flop of {3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Edler pushes all-in and Nguyen calls.

Nguyen has {K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Edler has 8-7-6-4
The other player has A-Q-Q-T

The turn and river are {3-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

Bill Edler is eliminated on the hand.

Doyle Survives

Doyle Brunson was all in on the flop after flopping a set of sixes, his opponent held the nut club draw but missed. Doyle is back to over 22,000 in chips and came straight out raising the pot next hand as well.

Kessler Straightens Up and Loses

It was a virtual limpathon, with six players seeing the flop. It went to heads up on a flop of {K-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} when a player in middle position bet out 1300 and Allen Kessler called. The turn was a {7-Diamonds} and the middle position player bet 3500 and Kessler called. They both checked the {7-Clubs} river. Kessler showed K-8-4-2 for the eight high straight while his opponent had K-J-9-8 for the nine high.
