Mike Sexton in Trouble

Mike just open-folded a flopped set of jacks after Patrick Bruel bet enough to put him all in on the river. The board showed Q-J-4-5-10 and with all the straights out there Mike released his hand. He now has 6,000 and Patrick moves up to 26,000.

William Thorsson Eliminated

William Thorsson has been busted out of this tournament.

Since Thorsson took 13th place in last year's Main Event, he's been on a rush. He made two final tables in Europe last October. Thorsson made a final table at this year's WSOP, where he took 3rd in the $5K Limit Hold'em Championship.

Hellmuth Arrives

Phil Hellmuth arrived today, and did his custom of shaking hands with all the players seated at his table. Phil Ivey, who is two to Hellmuth's right, cracked a smile, as did Dewey Tomko, and several other players at the table.

"Hey, I try to shake everyone's hand before I start acting like a jerk" said Hellmuth, as he took a seat.

Annie's Aces Cracked and the Table Cracks Up

Annie Duke just lost a pot when her flop bet was raised all-in by her opponent. The flop was A-K-5 and Annie held A-A-8-2. Her opponent had pushed with 2-3-4-4 and rivered a wheel straight. The play was so strange that the entire table, including Annie, started laughing. Despite the hit, Annie is still in good shape with 55,000.
