All-in In the Dark Works Out Well

A player limped in from late position. Ryan Dout was in the big blind and said, "what the heck, I'm all in, in the dark." The player in late position called and turned over K-K. Dout flipped over his cards. Wow, Look at that, A-A! "Really, I didn't look," said Dout. The board was no help to his opponent, and Dout took the pot. After the hand, Dout had 6,500.

In the next hand, Bonomo bet 400, one player pushed all-in and Bonomo called. Bonomo had K-3 against 6-6. A king came on the turn, but his opponent caught a six on the river, and this time Bonomo was the one calling out, "rebuy."

Still No Sign of the Defending Champ

Phil Hellmuth, the reigning champion of this event, has not yet arrived. A fashionably late arrival is not uncommon for "The Poker Brat" and could even be considered by some to be his trademark. Will Hellmuth defend his title? When will he arrive? These questions and more will be answered as the last preliminary No Limit Hold'em event of the WSOP takes shape in the days to follow. Stay with us for all the updates...
