Anna Wroblewski Doubles Up

Anna Wroblewski
Anna Wroblewski
After the cutoff opened the pot for a 3,500 raise, Anna Wroblewski shipped her remaining 11,200 into the middle and the cutoff called. Wroblewski turned up {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and was in great shape against her opponent's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. The board ran out {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{7-Spades} and the Poker Pixie's aces held, doubling her stack to 24,000.

Pescatori Starts With a Bang

Max Pescatori and his opponent went check, check on a flop of {7-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. On the turn of the {K-Spades}, Pescatori's opponent bet out 3,000. Pescatori made the call.

The river brought the {3-Spades} and Pescatori made a call of 5,000 after his opponent bet. Pescatori showed Q-Q and his opponent showed 10-9.

Pescatori is now up to over 37,000.

Cards in the Air

The players have returned to their seats (other than those who stayed behind to watch the end of the Celtics-Pistons) game) and we've returned to action. We'll play four more levels before calling it a night.

Boston or Detroit?

The Boston Celtics are playing game six versus the Detroit Pistons tonight. The game just reached half time, but that's not the story here.

Since the game began earlier, play on the felt has seemingly tightened up. Players can be seen watching the big, flat-screen monitors that are displaying the game at every chance they get. There is a lot of talk about who took what action on the game, and other players are tossing around ideas on various prop bets.

A $10,000 buy-in event, or who knows how much is riding on the basketball game?

Shawn Keller Makes the Right Choice

Shawn Keller
Shawn Keller
After seeing a flop of {J-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Phil Laak bet 5,000 and Shawn Keller made the call. The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and when Laak checked, Keller bet 5,000. Laak check-raised to 11,500, and as Keller thought the situation through Laak said, "I'll show if you show."

Keller folded and turned over {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, and Laak turned over {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for the turned set.

Mizrachi Grinded Down

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi moved all in on a flop of {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. A player called all in with 9-9 and held the best hand. The turn and river didn't improve Mizrachi's hand when the {5-Spades} and the {K-Spades} fell.

Mizrachi was left with only 1,600 chips and was then eliminated in the next few hands.

Erick Lindgren Doubles, Then Busts

On a flop of {J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, Antonio Esfandiari led out for 8,000 and Erick Lindgren called all in for 6,500.

Esfandiari: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Lindgren: {7-Spades}{8-Spades}

The turn was the {K-Spades}, but the {8-Hearts} spiked on the river to make Lindgren chips and he doubled up to 27,000.

Unfortunately, Lindgren busted a few hands later when both he and his opponent made trip aces, but Lindgren was out-kicked.

Ferguson Loses Half His Stack

Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson
Chris "Jesus" Ferguson raised to 2,000 preflop. Grant Lang called from middle position. Both players checked a flop of {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. On the {2-Spades} turn, Ferguson bet 3,000 and Lang raised to 7,500. After taking his time as he always does, Ferguson called the raise.

The river brought the {6-Clubs} and Ferguson checked. Lang bet 11,000 and Ferguson thought again before making the call.

Ferguson mucked his hand when Lang showed 2-2 for bottom set of deuces.

Lang commented on the hand as he raked in the pot by saying, "Only thing I was worried about was set over set. Other than that I can't lose money."
