Bill Blanda Advances to Round 2

After a lengthy heads-up battle, Bill Blanda has outlasted Jacques Zaicik to move on to Round 2. Here's how the final hand went down:

When the hand began, Blanda had close to a 3-to-1 chip lead over Zaicik. Blanda raised to 3,600 from the small/blind button, Zaicik re-raised to 10,000, Blanda then pushed all in, and Zaicik made the call.

Blanda {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Zaicik {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}, and Blanda moves on.

There is one more table left (really), where Gregg Turk currently has 64,000 to Matt Sterling's 36,000.

Correction

There's still another table of heads-up going besides the Matt Sterling/Gregg Turk table.

Jacques Zaicik and Bill Blanda are still in this one, and are still fighting with each other at the table.

Glynn Beebe Advances to Round 2

Glynn Beebe limped in on the button and Kenneth Rosen was all in for 18,000. Beebe called. Beebe had {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to {K-Spades}{5-Clubs} for Rosen. The board came {J-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and Rosen was eliminated. Beebe advances to Round 2, and only two heads-up tables remain.

Beebe Turns the Tables

Glynn Beebe raised in the small blind to 3,000 and Kenneth Rosen re-raised in the big blind. Beebe three-betted it all in and Rosen called. Beebe showed {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} to {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for Rosen. The board came {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Beebe was up to 69,000, to 31,000 for Rosen.
