Three Tables Left, All at Heads Up

William Flachsbart has just been eliminated, and so now our last three tables are down to heads up.

In the elimination hand, Flachsbart and Kenneth Rosen got it all in preflop, and Flachsbart showed {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds} to Rosen's {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. The flop came 2-5-3, giving Rosen the straight, and Flaschbart couldn't improve.

So that leaves Kenneth Rosen and Glynn Beebe battling on one table, Gregg Turk and Matt Sterling on another, and Bill Blanda and Jacques Zaicik at the third.

Another Table

At another table, there are three remaining players. Kenneth Rosen has 19,000. William Flachsbart has 38,500. Glynn Beebe has the remaining 42,500 in chips.

One of the Final Tables

At one of the three remaining final tables, Gregg Turk has 62,000 and Matt "matt24" Sterling has 38,000. Sterling has cashed once already, in the $5,000 Mixed Hold'em event.

Tim West Advances to Round 2

Tim West has just outlasted Sabyl Landrom to move on to Round 2. Landrom had a small chip lead, then came these three hands:

Hand #1: After some preflop betting West got all of his chips in the middle on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Landrom called. West turned over A-10 for flopped trips, and Landrom A-8. The turn and river didn't help Landrom, and West suddenly had a commanding 9-to-1 chip lead.

Hand #2: Landrom was dealt {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and went all-in, and West called with {A-Spades}{7-Spades}. The board ran out A-K-9-9-Q, and they chopped the pot.

Hand #3: Another all in, and this time Landrom had {10-Spades}{7-Spades} vs. West's {J-Spades}{4-Spades}. The board came out {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, and that four on the river gave the match to West.

Erik Seidel Advances to Round 2

Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel
Seidel bet 2,400 from the small blind/button, Held Kolastikov raised to 7,600, and Seidel made the call.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Kolastikov bet 10,500, Seidel raised to 25,000, Kolastikov reraised all in, and Seidel called.

Seidel showed {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for top pair. Kolastikov showed {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for the open-ended straight draw.

The turn was the {7-Hearts}, giving Kolastikov a pair and some more hope. But the river was the {Q-Spades} and Seidel moves on to the next round, continuing his quest for a ninth WSOP bracelet.

Zaicik Pulls Even with Blanda

Jacques Zaicik limped in on the button and Bill Blanda raised to 3,000 from the small blind. Zaicik called and the flop was {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Blanda bet 7,000 and Zaicik went all in for 21,700. Blanda called and showed {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} to the {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} of Zaicik. The turn and river were {J-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and both players are now at 50,000 in chips.
