With the board reading and over 60,000 in the pot Nicolas Levi bet 59,000 and Duncan Bell raised it to 139,000. Levi thought for a few minutes before making the call, and when Bell showed his Levi rolled over his and scooped the pot.
In a battle of the blinds Jason Mercier raised, Joel Casper moved all in, and Mercier called with , only to find that Casper hadn't been making a move -- he had woken up with in the big blind. Mercier's hand didn't improve and he fell to 300,000, while Casper doubled to 290,000.
After being crippled in the hand with Michael Kamran, Frank Vukasin tossed in his last 8,000 and Jason Mercier raised to 32,000. When the cards were revealed Mercier's had Vukasin's dominated, and when Frank wasn't able to catch a king he was eliminated in 18th place.
Kamran raised under the gun to 31,000 and Vukasin moved all in. Kamran made the call for the rest of his chips and his needed to hold on against Vukasin's . And he did just that, as the board ran out to double Kamran up to 400,000.
Sanders raised to 45,000 and Been moved in for his last 280,000 from the small blind. Sanders made the call and his pocket tens led Been's pocket fives. It was perhaps a bit cruel that both players hit sets on the flop, and when Been didn't hit his one out the rest of the way he was eliminated.
Billy Ragatz moved all in preflop with A-3 for his remaining 125,000 and was called by Brent Hanks who held A-10. Hank's spiked a ten on the flop and Ragatz was eliminated after failing to improve.
We were at 25 players remaining just a bit ago, when all of a sudden a spurt of players were eliminated in rapid fashion, dropping us down to just 20. However, since then, we've seen several double-ups but few eliminations. Play has slowed as players are trying to reach that coveted final table.
