Greenstein Picks off a Bluff

Action folded around to Tom Schneider on the button and he raised to 35,000. Barry Greenstein made the call from the big blind and asked for two cards. Schneider took just one card. After the draw, Greenstein checked and Schneider pushed out 50,000. Greenstein thought a bit, then made the call. Schneider smiled and turned up {10-?} {10-?}. Matusow quipped, "Uh oh. Tom got his hand caught in the cookie jar." Greenstein tabled {2-?} {2-?} {9-?} {7-?} {3-?} for the win and took down the pot.

Lindgren Rolling

Erick Lindgren is having his way with today's final able. After Tom Schneider raised to 35,000, Lindgren, on the button, was the only caller. Both men drew one card. After the draw was completed, Schneider bet 50,000. Lindgren paused for a few seconds, then raised to 190,000.

Lindgren's raise put Schneider into the tank. He tanked for a solid two minutes. At least three times, he looked like he was about to push a 140,000 chip call into the pot, only to change his mind. Then he started talking out loud.

"I think he paired," Schneider said to nobody in particular. "God! Good bet, but I think he paired." Schneider then mucked his hand.

Mike Matusow had an opinion on the hand (of course). "I always say, go with your gut," said Matusow. "If I had followed my heart in 2001, I'd have won a World Series and I didn't do it."

Mike Matusow Stays Active

Erick Lindgren raised to 45,000 from under the gun. Action folded around to Jeff Lisandro on the button and he called. Mike Matusow called from the small blind as well. Each player took a single card. Matusow was first to act and he bet 70,000, which prompted a quick fold from both of his opponents. The instant the last card hit the muck, Matusow loudly groaned and sarcastically said "I finally tried to steal a pot and you guys let me get away with it." Matusow flipped up {7-?} {6-?} {4-?} {3-?} {2-?} as he stacked the pot.

Greenstein Pushes Back

On the last hand before the break, Erick Lindgren raised to 40,000. After thinking it over for 30 seconds, Barry Greenstein moved all in for about 500,000. Lindgren let loose a "Mother..." as the action folded back to him. He eyed Greenstein's stack a few times before reluctantly giving up his hand.

Greenstein Chips Up

The action has been a bit tighter since play resumed after the break. Several hands were won uncontested or with a single bet after the draw. All that changed when Barry Greenstein and Mike Matusow mixed it up.

Matusow raised to 46,000 from under the gun. Greenstein, in the small blind, reraised to 150,000. Matusow made the call without much deliberation. On the draw, Greenstein stood pat and Matusow drew one. Once the draw was completed, Greenstein bet 100,000.

Matusow squeezed out his card, then went into the tank. He thought for about a minute before giving up the ghost and mucking his hand.

Greenstein Stays Active

Barry Greenstein Stays Active
Barry Greenstein has stayed actively involved in the last few hands as well.

In the last of these, Jeffrey Lisandro raised to 52,000 from under the gun and Greenstein made the call from the big blind. Lisandro drew one while Greenstein took two cards. Greenstein checked, presumably trying to induce a bet from Lisandro, but he checked behind. Greenstein flipped up {8-?} {6-?} {5-?} {3-?} {2-?}. A surprised Lisandro tossed his hand in right away.

A few hands prior, after just having tangled, Barry put in a raise to 48,000 from under the gun only to have Mike Matusow move all in from the cutoff seat. Greenstein gave his hand up right away.
