Ganger Leads

Hold'em:

Doug Ganger has taken the advantage in the early going of this heads-up battle. In recent hold'em hands he was able to take down some healthy pots with some aggressive play. Ganger check-raised in one hand and took it down, and followed next hand that with a bet, three-bet to force a fold from his opponent. Both plays were on the turn.

Ganger is now up to 1.5 million while Jens Voertmann is down to about 1 million. However with the blinds at these levels the chip swings are very significant.

Marcel Luske - 3rd Place
Marcel Luske - 3rd Place
Stud:

Marcel Luske was very short-stacked and committed the last of his chips on fourth street against Jens Voertmann. The boards ran out:

Voertmann: ({J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}) {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{A-Hearts} ({K-Clubs})
Luske: ({9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}) {9-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{J-Spades} (X)

Needing some help on the river Luske was unable to find it and he was sent to the rail in third place for $110,264.

Razz Leaves Luske in Trouble

At the conclusion of the razz round, Marcel Luske has splashed around trying to make something happen but things haven't gone his way. He is down to under 200,000 in chips and needs a double-up urgently.

Jens Voertmann remains in control with the chip lead.

Luske Doubles

Omaha-8:

On the flop of {9-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} Jens Voertmann led with a bet and Marcel Luske made the call.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and Voertmann bet again, before Luske raised it up. Voertmann thought for a moment before making the call.

The river landed the {4-Hearts} and Luske bet his last 60,000 which Voertmann called.

Luske turned over {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for a straight to go with his low to scoop the pot and double up to close to 700,000 chips.
