Scotty Nguyen limped in early position only for the button to raise to 150. Nguyen made it 850. As his opponent was contemplating his move, said Nguyen: "I'm tired of you. Every time I limp, you raise." His opponent folded. Nguyen showed pocket kings.

The poker circuit is known for boasting its fair share of celebrity players, and today is no different. Now, I won't pretend to pass myself as a rock/metal connoisseur (my music tastes are unfashionable even at my tender age), but I have been able to identify table 24 seat 4 as the bearded lead guitarist of Anthrax, Scott Ian. Let's see if his talents at the felt match those of the stage.

High stakes cash game pro Chau Giang was eliminated from the tournament just two hands after taking his seat late in the first level of play.

Action folded around to a player in the cutoff who made it 150 to go. Giang called from the small blind and the big blind entered the fray as well.

The flop came {A-?}

and Chau passed the first action to the big blind who led out with a 450 bet. The cutoff player made the call and when the action returned to Giang, he moved all in for a total of 3,600. The big blind made the call and the cutoff surrendered, prompting Chau to table his {A-Spades}
