Williamson Busts Alaei

Two of those who had been seated together at yesterday's famed Table No. 15 just butted heads in a hand before the break--and only one survived the encounter.

On flop of 2-7-9 rainbow, Daniel Alaei checked, Robert Williamson III bet 3,000, Alaei raised to 13,000, and Williamson called. Another deuce appeared on the turn, and Alaei pushed all in. Williamson called.

Alaei had K-J-9-8 for nines and deuces. Williamson had J-9-8-7 for nines and sevens. The river brought another seven for RW3, and Alaei was done.

Kings Outduel Aces

In a hand from just before the break, Michael McKenna and Birinder Nijran raised and reraised each other preflop to the point where Nijran was all in with his K-K-x-x vs. McKenna's A-A-x-x. A king flopped, and McKenna couldn't come back.

Nijran is up to 104,000, while McKenna is at 120,000.

Sebag Soars

With over 100,000 already in the middle and a board showing {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{J-Spades}, David Benyamine checked, Emmanuel Sebag bet 65,000, and Benyamine folded.

As they approach the break, Benyamine has slipped down to 85,000. Meanwhile, Sebag has extended his chip lead, building up to 600,000.

Johnny Chan Doubles Up, Richard "Chufty" Ashby Eliminated

Richard "Chufty" Ashby opened for 7,000, Cole South called, Johnny Chan called, Eli Elezra reraised to 38,000 from the button, Ashby called all in and both South and Chan also called.

The flop was {9-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {6-Clubs}. South bet 74,000, Chan called all in and Elezra folded.

Ashby {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {2-Hearts}

South {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {8-Diamonds}

Chan {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {7-Spades}

Ashby whiffed the flop, while South flopped a straight draw and Chan flopped a ten-high straight and the nut flush draw. The turn was the {10-Diamonds} making Chan a jack-high straight, and the river was the {3-Diamonds}. Chan scooped the monster pot, doubling his stack, while Ashby hit the rail.
