Sebag {Q-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {8-Spades}

Dwan flopped top two pair, but Sebag made a set of eights. The turn was the {Q-Hearts} , the river was the {9-Hearts} and Durrrr hit the rail.

Sirous Jamshidi
Sirous Jamshidi
Several limped, then Sirous Jamshidi raised to 16,800 from the small blind. Emmanuel Sebag, Ted Lawson, and David Benyamine all called.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Jamshidi pushed his remaining 30,000 all in, and Lawson called.

Jamshidi {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Lawson {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}

The turn was the {5-Clubs}, giving Lawson the straight. Jamshidi needed a diamond on the river to survive, but the {Q-Hearts} landed and his day was done.

Lawson is up to 175,000.

The NEW Table of Death

There are 22 WSOP bracelets represented at the new Table 29:

Seat 1: Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond
Seat 2: Phil Hellmuth
Seat 3: Brian Rast
Seat 4: Erick Lindgren
Seat 5: Daniel Negreanu
Seat 6: Joshua Ladines
Seat 7: Jamie Pickering
Seat 8: Chris "Jesus" Ferguson
Seat 9: Steve "MrSmokey1" Billirakis

From the Baize to the Greens

Phil Hellmuth just stepped over to a nearby table to ask whether the empty Seat 7 belonged to Mike Sexton.

"I've never seen Mike miss a blind," said Hellmuth. "The U.S. Open must be really tight right now."

We're hearing elsewhere in the room that Tiger Woods just forced a playoff, so Hellmuth's read on Sexton's absence may well be correct.

Hellmuth K.O.'s RW3

In case you didn't know, he can dodge bullets, baby
In case you didn't know, he can dodge bullets, baby
Robert Williamson III got the rest of his chips in on the turn against Phil Hellmuth with the board reading {9-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {6-Clubs}. As Hellmuth moved all in, Daniel Negreanu leapt up from an adjacent table and mimicked a paparazzo, pretending to snap photos of the camera-loving Hellmuth in his "All In Moment."

Hellmuth turned up {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} for two pair and a flush draw while Williamson tabled {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {9-Spades} {3-Hearts} for top pair, a wheel draw and the nut flush draw. The river was the {7-Clubs} and Hellmuth's hand held up, eliminating Williamson and increasing his stack to 395,000.

Vilmunen Doubles Through Chiu

On a flop of {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Ralph Perry bet 4,000, David Chiu called, and Jani Vilmunen raised to 24,000. Perry folded, Chiu kicked it up to 80,000, Vilmunen reraised all in for 97,500 total, and Chiu made the call.

Vilmunen {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Chiu {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Another instance of kings cracking aces. The turn and river brought no diamond to help Chiu, and Vilmunen moved up to 260,000. Chiu is now way down to 34,000.
