Erik Seidel Eliminated

Seidel prays for a blank
Seidel prays for a blank
Erik Seidel moved all in on a flop of {Q-Hearts} {6-Spades} {5-Spades} and found a caller in Adam Hourani.

Seidel {Q-Clubs} {9-Spades} {5-Hearts} {2-Hearts}

Hourani {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {4-Spades}

Seidel was ahead with two pair against Hourani's top pair top kicker. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} , but the river was the {A-Hearts} making Hourani a higher two pair and Seidel was bounced from the tournament in 27th place.

After the hand Hourani was up to 500,000.

Deep Stacks

With blinds of 2,000/4,000, an opening preflop raise can range from 8,000 to 14,000.

The average chip stack among the 27 remaining players is above 225,000. The short stacks should be feeling some urgency, but most of the field have plenty of chips with which to play.

Chips Passing in the Night

Alexander Kostritsyn recently doubled through Rafi Amit. Then Amit tripled through Jani Vilmunen and Erik Seidel.

When the dust settled, Vilmunen was still sitting pretty with 430,000, Kostritsyn had moved back around 132,000, Seidel had 92,000, and Amit was down to 42,000.

Tony G Eliminated by David Benyamine

David Benyamine raised to 10,500 preflop, Tony G moved all in for 24,000 and Benyamine called.

Tony G {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}

Benyamine {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {2-Spades}

The flop was {9-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {3-Spades}, Tony G's aces holding for the moment, but Benyamine picked up a flush draw. The turn filled it when the {8-Spades} came down and the river was the {6-Spades}. Benyamine raked in the pot while an unhappy Tony G hit the rail.
