Brett Richey bet the last of his chips after seeing a flop, only to find that his had been outflopped by Jerrod Ankenman's . The board ran out and Richey was eliminated.
After being crippled in that hand with Hoyt Corkins, Lindgren raised before the flop and was called in three places. The flop came and after Lindgren bet the last of his chips he couldn't have felt too good when Zachary Hyman raised. The other players got out of the way and Lindgren saw that his was in big trouble against Hyman's set of sixes. Lindgren made trip threes on the river but that gave Hyman a full house and Lindgren was eliminated.
Thomas Wahlroos was eliminated from the remaining field when he managed to get all his chips in with pocket sevens, only to run into Spencer Lawrence holding pocket nines.
The nines held up for Lawrence and Wahlroos was eliminated just eight players shy of the money.
Mueller came back from the dinner break with just 5,000 chips and managed to survive for two rounds before Michael Mizrachi put him to the sword. Mueller was all in with to Mizrachi's and while both players made pairs on the flop the and on the turn and river spelled the end of Mueller's tournament. Mizrachi is now up to 270,000.
Corkins bet from under the gun, Witteles raised from the small blind and Corkins called. The flop came and when Witteles bet Corkins called. He also called an 8,000 Witteles bet when the turned and when the appeared on the river the two players checked it down. Witteles' had Corkins' outkicked and Witteles scooped a pot that brought his stack up to 117,000.
There was a lot of betting on a board and when that final ace fell on the river Erick Lindgren checked, Hoyt Corkins bet, Lindgren check-raised and Corkins raised again. Lindgren called and found that his had been beaten by Corkins . That brutal hand cost Lindgren all but 12,000 of his chips, while Corkins is now up to 270,000.
Greg Mueller was extremely shortstacked and bet the last of his chips before the flop. Richard Chase called and found he was ahead with to Mueller's . The brought little help to Mueller but the on the turn paired him up and when the fell on the river Mueller doubled to 12,000. Still very short, but still alive.
