I Am Woman

Annie Duke
Annie Duke
With the recent elimination of Cyndy Violette, we are down to our last woman standing.

Annie Duke is still alive with a shot at winning this bracelet, and she has gotten here in fine fashion. Since the start of play yesterday, she has never really had a big stack to play with. She has nursed her chips though, holding them tightly while awaiting favorable opportunities.

Just in recent moments, she won a couple nice pots and has chipped up to 185,000. For the first time in hours, she has finally climbed back up over her brother, Howard Lederer. That stack puts her third in the counts, and if she can continue to be stubborn with her chips, she may well find herself still fighting deep into tomorrow.

Doug Ganger Eliminated in 22nd Place ($11,040)

Doug Ganger Eliminated
Doug Ganger Eliminated
David Benyamine and Doug Ganger took up a battle in the last hand.

Benyamine: (X) (X) {3-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {5-?} {J-?} (X)
Ganger: (X) (X) {A-?} {6-?} {10-?} {J-?} (X)

Benyamine bet on fourth street, and Ganger called. He bet again on fifth, Ganger raised, and Benyamine called. On sixth, there was a series of three bets and raises, resulting in Ganger being all in.

Benyamine: {3-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {5-?} {J-?} {4-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {10-Hearts}
Ganger: {A-?} {6-?} {10-?} {J-?} {A-?} {Q-?} {A-?}

Ganger made trip aces, but it was no good against the heart flush of David Benyamine. He put on a good show over the past 36 hours, but Doug Ganger will head home tonight, taking away $11,040 in cash.

Cyndy Violette Eliminated in 23rd Place ($11,040)

Cyndy Violette Eliminated

We join the action on fifth street, where Cyndy Violette is heads up against Sebastian Ruthenberg.

Violette: (X) (X) {7-Clubs} {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} (X)
Ruthenberg: (X) (X) {10-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {6-Hearts} (X)

On fifth street, Violette bet out and got the call. On sixth and seventh streets, she was the caller of Ruthenberg's bets, the last putting her all in and at risk.

Ruthenberg showed down {3-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {7-Hearts}. His heart flush and seven-six low were good enough to take the full pot and to eliminate Violette. For her work over the past two days, she will pocket more than $11,000.

Ferguson Chips Up

Chris Ferguson just took a decent little pot from Sebastian Ruthenberg. He completed the bring-in, and Ruthenberg was the only caller.

Ruthenberg: (X) (X) {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} (X)
Ferguson: (X) (X) {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {J-Spades} (X)

Ruthenberg bet on fourth and fifth street, and Ferguson took the lead when he paired his jack on sixth. Both players checked seventh street. Ferguson showed ({A-Clubs} {7-Spades}) {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {J-Spades} ({10-Spades}), winning the full pot with aces up.

Stacked Field Remaining

Out of the remaining players, there's eight players who are previous bracelet winners. Out of those eight players, a total of 21 bracelets have been won.

Will it be a previous barcelet winner to take another one? Or will a virgin pro take the cake on this one?

Hasan Habib Eliminated in 24th Place ($11,040)

Hasan Habib Eliminated
Hasan Habib Eliminated
Hasan Habib has just been knocked out in a three-way pot. All of his money went in on third street, and his up cards ran out {6-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}. Chau Giang and Sebastian Ruthenberg were in the hand as well, and they checked the action down when Habib was all in.

In the end, Giang made two pair, tens and threes to take the high pot. Ruthenberg drew a seven-five low to take the bottom end. Hasan Habib couldn't snag either half, and he will head out of here as the first in-the-money finisher.
