Barbieri Wins; Spectator Ejected

Al "Sugar Bear" Barbieri was involved in a hand with an opponent at his table. The opponent was carrying on a conversation in a different language with a spectator on the rail, who was a player that already busted from the tournament.

After Barbieri won the hand with trip jacks against his opponent's two pair, eights and nines, Barbieri called a floor to the table to complain about the behavior of the spectator on the rail. After a discussion between the floor and the spectator, the spectator was escorted from the Amazon Room.

Mike Rocco Cripples Humberto Brenes (Again)

Humberto Brenes built his stack back up after being crippled earlier. Then he tangled with Mike Rocco in a recent hand and is crippled again. Humberto started with split aces and improved to trip aces on fifth street. Unfortunately for him, Rocco started with split tens and improved to fives full of tens by fifth street. Brenes wasn't able to fill up and is once again on life support with about 1,000 in chips.

Rocco's stack increased to 26,000.

Men Nyguen, a Master of Value

Men "The Master" Nguyen scooped a pot with two pair and in the process made a few different value bets. One on third street, a check-raise on fifth, and a called bet on the end.

Men "The Master" Nguyen: ({6-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {A-Spades}) {7-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {6-Clubs}
Opponent: {J-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {9-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {5-Spades}

The hand has "The Master" holding around 16,000.

Opponent: {Q-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {6-Spades} {9-Spades} ({A-?} {A-?} X)

FBT Cripples Brenes

We've had our first clash on Orange #10, the table with Humberto Brenes, Greg "FBT" Mueller and Amnon Filippi. Brenes took the worst of it.

Showing a board of {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}, Mueller led every street with a bet until sixth street, where he checked. Brenes, who had called the whole way with {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {9-Clubs}, seized the opportunity to bet. Mueller called.

On the river, Mueller checked it over to Brenes, who bet again. "I started rolled up, Humberto," said Mueller. "I'm gonna lose, but I have to call." Mueller showed {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {8-Spades} as his down cards, for trip aces.

Brenes revealed two of his own down cards: {9-Hearts} {9-Spades}, for trip nines, then mucked his hand. He is left with just over 1,000 chips, while Mueller climbs to 24,500.

Grizzle Snuffs One Out

After a seventh street dark check from his opponent, Sam Grizzle, wary of a made hand, checked and tabled a flush. Grizzle's hunch was correct as his opponent revealed a full house.

Sam Grizzle: ({Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {10-Spades} ) {9-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {7-Clubs}
Opponent: ({Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {6-Clubs} ) {J-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {6-Diamonds}

Jacks Take Out Two Players

David Singer survived into Level 7, but his day has come to an end. He got all of his money in the pot with an ace door card and buried sixes. He was called down by an opponent with buried jacks. Neither player improved.

On a different table, Phil Ivey was also eliminated by a pair of jacks. He was drawing to a straight, but it never came.
