Words From The Mouth

In a recent hand with Berry Johnston, Mike Matusow was forced to fold his hand on the turn and was heard to say "Legend vs Legend. This time old school won!"

Who Does Phil Hellmuth Pick?

Phil Hellmuth was sitting right next to the PokerNews booth for a few minutes checking out the action. I got a chance to ask his pick for a winner of this event. Hellmuth said, "Matusow will likely be there. Maybe David Chiu."

It should be interesting to see how Hellmuth's picks fare.

Phil Hellmuth Has Arrived

Phil Hellmuth, fresh from being knocked out of Event #39 ($1500 No-Limit Hold'em), with camera crew in tow, has just arrived to check out the action at this Omaha Hi-Lo World Championship. When he got to David Benyamine, Hellmuth said, "He's always here. Omaha Hi, and he's there. Deuce to Seven lowball, and he's there. He's always there."

Hellmuth is making his rounds to both tables, shaking hands and kissing....babies.

William McMahon Eliminated in 17th Place ($27,612)

William McMahon	- 17th Place
William McMahon - 17th Place
Tony Ma raised it up from the small blind and William McMahon called from the big blind.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Ma fired out a bet, which McMahon called.

The turn was the {K-Spades} and again Ma bet out, with McMahon making the call.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Ma fired for a third time, which was enough to put McMahon all in. He made the call and tabled {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, but it wasn't enough to overcome the {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} of Ma for the flush and best low to scoop and eliminate McMahon in 17th place for $27,612.

Ray Dehkharghani Eliminated in 18th Place ($27,612)

Hieu 'Tony' Ma raised it up from early position before Ray Dehkharghani re-popped from middle position. Ma made the call.

The flop was {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Ma checked to Dehkharghani who bet out, Ma then check-raised and Dehkharghani called for the last of his chips.

Dehkharghani: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Ma: {4-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The turn was the {Q-Hearts} but the {7-Hearts} on the river gave Ma the straight and sent Dehkharghani to the exit in 18th place for $27,612.

Gray Collects Another

Ray Dehkharghani raised it up preflop from middle position and Jason Gray made the call.

The flop came {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Dehkharghani made a continuation bet which was raised by Gray. Dehkharghani made the call.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and Gray bet again with Dehkharghani making the call.

The river landed the {2-Diamonds} and Gray got another bet in, which was called. Gray showed {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, which was good to scoop the pot and put Dehkharghani under pressure.
