Doyle Takes Another Hit

Razz:

With his stack dwindling throughout the day, Doyle Brunson surrendered another chunk of his chips in a hand with Raymond Davis. With his board showing {7-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {2-Spades} {10-Clubs} Brunson mucked after Davis showed an {8-?} {7-?} {6-?} {3-?} {A-?}. Davis is now up to 1.1 million while Doyle was left with just 155,000.

Andy Bloch-- Down but not Out
Andy Bloch-- Down but not Out
Stud:

Patrick Bueno (X-X) {Q-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {Q-Hearts} (X)

Andy Bloch (X-X) {10-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} (X)

Patrick Bueno completed on third street and Andy Bloch called. Both players checked fourth and Bloch led on fifth, getting a call from Bueno. Bueno made an open pair of queens on sixth and led, Bloch making the call. Bueno also led out on seventh, and Bloch tanked for a bit before folding.

"I'll let you bluff me one time" said Bloch.

Bueno showed him the {Q-Diamonds}, for trip queens.

Bloch is now down to 110,000.

One Pair is Good for Perry

Stud:

Michael DeMichele (X-X) {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {K-Spades} {6-Clubs} (X)

Ralph Perry (X-X) {2-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} (X)

Ralph Perry had the bring-in, Michael DeMichele completed and Perry called. On fourth DeMichele made a open pair of jacks and bet, Perry raised, and DeMichele called after a short think. On fifth street DeMichele checked, Perry bet, DeMichele raised and Perry called. On sixth and seventh DeMichele led out and Perry called him down.

Perry turned up {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {8-Hearts} for a pair of kings and DeMichele mucked. After the hand, Perry was up to 1,600,000 while DeMichele slipped back below the million mark with 840,000.

Brandon Adams Eliminated in 19th Place

Brandon Adams - 19th Place
Brandon Adams - 19th Place
After fighting for three days now to stay alive on a short stack, Brandon Adams has finally succumbed.

Razz:

Brandon Adams (X-X) {A-?} {4-?} {Q-?} {5-?} (X)

Matt Glantz (X-X) {8-?} {10-?} {Q-?} {2-?} (X)

Adams completed on third and led out on every subsequent street, Matt Glantz calling him down all the way. Adams showed {5-?} {7-?} {7-?} in the hole, ending up with only a queen-low, while Glantz made an 8-4 low with {A-?} {3-?} {4-?} and raked in the pot. This left Adams with only 40,000.

Stud:

Adams ({4-Clubs} {7-Spades}) {2-Spades} {10-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {K-Clubs} (?)

Scotty Nguyen ({K-Diamonds} {K-Spades}) {10-Spades} {8-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} ({6-Spades})

The game changed to stud high the next hand, and Adams brought it in for a completion. Scotty Nguyen called. Nguyen bet out on fourth street and Adams called all in for 11,000.

Nguyen had two kings in the hole and Adams could not improve. He hit the rail in 19th place, just shy of the money.

Edwin Ting Eliminated in 20th Place

Edwin Ting
Edwin Ting
Stud:

Edwin Ting completed on third street and kept on betting until all of his chips were in the pot and his board showed {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} to Doyle Brunson's {7-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {K-Clubs}. The rest of the cards were dealt and Ting never improved on the two tens he had in the hole, while Doyle had paired the {K-Hearts} he held. Doyle took down the pot (increasing his stack to 770,000) and Ting's day came to an end.

Bricks Rain on Scotty

Razz:

Huck Seed (X-X) {9-?} {7-?} {3-?} {10-?}

Scotty Nguyen (X-X) {6-?} {A-?} {K-?} {K-?}

Huck Seed had the bring-in, Scotty Nguyen completed and Seed called. On fourth street, Nguyen led out with the low board and Seed called again. Nguyen caught a {K-?} on fifth, but still bet and was called after Seed checked to him. Sixth brought another {K-?} for Scotty and he folded to Seed's bet.

Crowd Control

After a bit of chaos earlier in the day with the crowds mobbing the H.O.R.S.E. tables, security is trying to improve conditions for the players. As we mentioned before, Table #3 has been moved away from the rail and they've closed one of the doors that was causing a logjam along the other side of the roped-off area. There's more security around, more floorpeople keeping an eye on things, and more space for the players. Now if we could just get people to stop using the flash on their cameras...

On Break

We've gone on break a few minutes early so the H.O.R.S.E. players aren't out on break at the same time as the thousands playing in today's $1,500 event. They're also taking the time to move Table #3 away from the rail and the crowds.
