Event #51: $1,500 HORSE, End of Day 2

Phil Hellmuth: Day 2 Chip leader
Phil Hellmuth: Day 2 Chip leader
Out of Day 1's staggering 803 players in the $1,500 HORSE event, a mere 179 remained as Day 2 began. Though many of the name pros had fallen by the wayside, an unusual face for a mixed-game event was sitting at the top of the chip counts: Phil Hellmuth, in search of bracelet #12 and his first in a non-hold'em event.

Though Hellmuth would trade the lead with a dozen other players throughout the day, by the end of Day 2, he'd have it back again to himself. To win the event, though, he'll have to get through such tough-as-nails poker players as Victor Ramdin, Jens Voertmann, and Keith Sexton.

Twenty-one players remained as the clock hit 3:30 a.m. here on Day 2, and all of these players are coming back Tuesday at 3 p.m. PDT, to play to a single bracelet winner.

As always, official chip counts and table assignments when they are available!
