Mallory Smith on Life Support

Mallory Smith has just been crippled in a big hand with George Guzman. The action was capped on the turn with the board reading {8-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

The {A-Clubs} fell on the river and one more bet from Guzman was called by Smith. Guzman revealed {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for the wheel as Smith took another look at his cards before tossing them into the muck.

"Ship it!" cried Guzman as he moves to around 280,000, leaving Smith in trouble on about 20,000.

Harold Heckethorn Eliminated in 17th Place ($8,300)

Thang Luu opened the action with a raise from middle position which was reraised by Heckethorn. It was folded back to Luu who made the call.

They took a flop of {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Luu checked to Heckethorn who made the continuation bet. Luu made the call.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and this time Luu fired out a bet which was enough to commit Heckethorn for all of his chips. He made the call as the river landed the {2-Clubs}.

Luu showed {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for two pair and a low hand which was too strong for Heckethorn who simply mucked his cards and headed to the rail in 17th place.
