After the second draw in 2-7 triple draw, Jan von Halle flipped his hand over and showed the 3-4-5-6-7. Johnny Chan saw this and bet to put von Halle all in. Von Halle was confused as he didn't realize there was another betting round. He called anyway and couldn't quite understand why the pot was shipped to the two-time Main Event champion Chan.
Von Halle must not have realized that straights count against you in 2-7 triple draw and was eliminated because of his mistake. Chan took the pot with a eight low.
Chris Reslock was extremely short-stacked and found himself all in in the big blind with against Mel Judah's . The board ran out , Judah scooping the pot with queens and jacks, and Reslock was eliminated.

Both players decided to act strong and stand pat for the third draw. At the showdown, Dwan showed first, 3-4-5-7-8. Lester was upset and reached into the middle of the table to the spread deck and grabbed the top card to see what he would have drawn had he taken another card. In disgust, Lester slammed his hand to the table along with the card he would have had.
Dwan increased to 23,000 and Lester dropped to 33,000.
Greg "FBT" Mueller began the event today like everyone else, with 20,000 chips and a table full of fellow professionals. Since the first minute, Mueller has been found with the same massage therapist working out the aches and pains in his muscles. It's been over six hours now and we're all starting to feel for the beautiful woman's poor hands.
Mueller has been known to get massages for entire tournaments at times, from the same massage therapist every tournament. Superstition it may be, but as he continues to build a stack, why make a change?
