Greg Raymer is one of many big names looking to make a move on Thursday
With just a hair over half the field eliminated (89 of an original 192 remain), Day 2 in Event #8, $10,000 World Championship Mixed Event, will see star-studded collisions from the outset.
2007 WSOP Player of the Year Tom Schneider got off to a great start through Wednesday's first eight levels of play and will return on Thursday with 142,300 in chips. Here's how the top ten fared:

The second ten is led by Phil Ivey and includes Mark Vos, Marcel Luske and Amnon Filippi, while the third ten in chips -- all well within the hunt -- includes Mike Sexton, Gavin Griffin and Doyle Brunson. Action resumes at 3pm from the Amazon Room.

Eli likes his props
Eli Elezra asked one of our reporters for a piece of paper and a pen. He mentioned that he wants to take down some prop bets. He is currently trying to work out the details of some props with the player to his left--Doyle Brunson. Phil Ivey also chimed in from the next table over, as he wants to get in on the action.
Over at Ivey's table, players are asking who Ivey believes is the best player in the world. Ivey mentioned a few online players, including another player in this event, Tom "durrrr" Dwan. He then went on to say, "I enjoy playing with people better than me, it makes me better."
The last of Robert Malkin's chips went all in before the draw vs. Jason Lester. On the first draw Malkin took two and Lester one, on the second draw they each took one, and on the third draw Lester took one and Malkin stayed pat.
Malkin flipped over 8-7-5-4-2, just out-pipped by Lester's 8-6-5-4-2, and he hit the rail.
Bruce Yamron raised pre-draw and found a caller in Scott Seiver. They each drew two. Yamron checked, Seiver bet and Yamron called. On the second draw both players drew one and both checked. On the third draw Yamron rapped pat and Seiver drew one. Yamron bet and Seiver called.
Yamron turned over 8-7-6-4-2, Seiver mucked, and Yamron raked in the pot.
Scott Seiver raised, Scott Bohlman three-bet, George Lind III four-bet, and both Seiver and Bohlman called. Seiver drew one, Bohlman drew two, and Lind drew one. Lind bet 1,100 all in, Seiver raised, and Bohlman called. On the second draw Seiver rapped pat and Bohlman and Lind each drew one. Seiver bet and Bohlman called. On the third draw Seiver stayed pat, Bohlman drew one, and Lind drew one. Both Seiver and Bohlman checked.
Seiver flipped up 8-7-6-4-2, and both Lind and Bohlman mucked. Seiver raked in the sizeable pot and Lind headed for the exit.
Short-stacked Tim Phan was just knocked out in a three-way pot with David Oppenheim and Tom "durrrr" Dwan. Dwan made 8-6-5-3-2, besting both his opponents and eliminating Phan.
After the hand Dwan was up to 133,000 while Oppenheim was on fumes with 8,000.
Amnon Filippi raised from under the gun. John Hennigan three-bet from the cutoff and then Brett Richey four-bet from the small blind. The big blind, Mark Vos, called, as did Filippi and Hennigan.
Flop:
Richey checked, Vos bet, Filippi raised, Hennigan reraised. Richey folded, Vos called, and Filippi called.
Turn:
Vos checked, Filippi checked, Hennigan bet. Both players called.
River:
Vos and Filippi checked, Hennigan bet. Both players called again.
Richey said he folded Q-Q. Vos and Filippi both turned up A-A and Hennigan turned over 10-10 for the winning hand, a set of tens.
From worst to first and Hennigan is now approaching 80,000.
