Laura Rody has gone bust in rather unfortunate circumstances. She got it in with against Jennifer Vinlove's , but got, for want of a better phrase, absolutely screwed by the board.
Julie Kruze shoved under the gun and it folded around to Alice Talbot in the small blind who gave it some thought and then called. Kim Cunningham unexpectedly called all in from the big blind, and they were on their backs.
Kruze:
Talbot:
Cunningham:
Board: a nobody-hit-anything
Thus Cunningham tripled up, while Kruze had to be content with the 18,000 side pot. Clearly running bad, she was then immediately moved to another table with her sad little stack.
Patti Zarosky is up to 90,000 after busting another player. She raised to 5,000 under the gun and then called the push from her opponent -- then promptly sucked out to send the other lady hurtling to the rail.
Lauren Kling is up to 45,000 after re-shoving to a short-stack push. On their backs and Kling's pocket were up against her opponent's , but a harmless board later and the short stack's chips belonged to Kling.
Collette Brown didn't start today as one of the big stacks, but she's amassed one now. She managed to call another player's all in push preflop and found the shortie completely dominating her, but Brown pulled a broadway straight out of thin air to knock the other lady out and put her up to 112,000.
Maridu Mayrinck has had a crazy up-and-down rollercoaster of a tournament. Just now she found pocket aces and doubled up again; she's sitting on 52,000 right now, but who knows what will happen next...
