Dinner Break

Several of the players expressed a desire to play through and go ahead and determine our final nine, but at least one or two wanted to break for dinner, and so we are taking a one-hour break.

Lunkin Doubles through Raymer

That final table bubble doesn't faze me
That final table bubble doesn't faze me
On the first hand of the ten-handed, not-quite-final-table, Greg Raymer raised to 100,000 from early position, and Vitaly Lunkin reraised to 300,000 from the button. It folded back to Raymer who pushed his 4 million-plus chip stack all in, and Lunkin didn't think very long before making the call.

Raymer {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Lunkin {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

"Wow, I didn't think you'd call," said Raymer.

The board came {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, and Lunkin doubled up to 3.26 million. Raymer is now down close to 3 million.

Action Paused

With 4:22 remaining in Level 22, the tournament clock has been paused while our ten remaining players re-draw for seats on a single table.

Float On

Had another blind-vs.-blind battle just happen on Table #143, this one perhaps a bit more interesting than that Lehr-Bonomo one.

In this one, the table folded to Ted Forrest who raised to 120,000 from the small blind, and Isaac Haxton called from the big blind. The flop came {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Forrest bet 100,000, and Haxton called. The turn was the {8-Clubs}. This time Forrest bet 200,000, and Haxton again called.

The river was the {9-Hearts}. Forrest instantly checked, and Haxton put out a bet of 425,000. Forrest tanked, then made the call. "Straight," said Haxton. "You have a straight?" said an incredulous Forrest. Indeed Haxton did, as he turned over {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

"I had a feeling you floated me twice," said Forrest. Haxton now has 3.09 million, while Forrest has 960,000.

Lehr Doubles through Bonomo

The table had folded to Justin Bonomo who put in a raise from the small blind, then Keith Lehr pushed his short stack all in from the big blind and Bonomo made the call. Bonomo had the Brunson -- {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} -- while Lehr had {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

The community cards came {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}, and Lehr doubled up to 1 million. Bonomo is now back down to right about 2 million.
