Harman Slips

Hold'em

After a middle position limper, Jennifer Harman made a raise from the small blind. The big blind folded and the limper made the call.

The flop fell {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Harman led with a bet. Her opponent raised and she made the call. On the {6-Clubs} turn, Harman checked but then gave up the fight when her opponent fired again. She slips to 13,000 chips.

Hold'em

Chau Giang raised to 1,600 and then Bryan Micon made the call. The flop came down {K-Clubs} {10-Spades} {7-Clubs} and Giang led with a bet after Micon checked. Micon fired in a raise and Giang folded.

The powerhouse that is Bryan Micon has gotten a little oxygen for breathing with 9,600 chips.

The Flying Dutchman Soars Back

After dropping a recent pot and losing much of his stack, Marcel Luske was able to double up up to over 12,000 chips. He was all in on sixth street with two pair, kings and queens, against Chris Tryba. Tryba missed both his flush draw and low draw when he bricked seventh street, doubling Marcel up.

Stud-8

Marcel Luske: (X-X) {4-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} (X)
Casey Kay: (X-X) {A-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} (X)

Luske completed and Kay called on third street. ON the next street, Luske bet and Kay called. Kay took over the betting on fifth and sixth where Marcel did the calling. Luske also called on the final card.

Kay turned up {6-Spades} {5-Spades} {4-Hearts} in the hole to make a seven-six low and aces up. Luske could only muster an eight-seven low and dropped all the way down to 5,000 chips. Kay is up to 42,000 now.

Juanda Gets Running Start

John Juanda
John Juanda
John Juanda has been on a rush this morning after already knocking out two opponents during the round of Stud.

"He's won every hand but the first one!" Perry Friedman commented.

"I lost that one on purpose," came the dry reply from Juanda, "I wanted to get a running start!"

Clearly a fan of Stud after he's recent final table in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event, Juanda only gets eight hands before the game switches here today. He's moved up to 50,000 chips.

No Party for Bonomo In Marbleu's House

Stud

Justin Bonomo was just involved in the early goings against tablemate Philippe Marbleu. The boards looked as follows.

Bonomo: (X-X) {J-Spades} {3-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} (X)
Marbleu: (X-X) {2-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {8-Spades} {A-Spades} (X)

Bonomo bet fifth and was called by Marbleu. Marbleu took the lead on sixth with his ace showing and fired a bet. Bonomo made the call and then called on seventh as well after Marbleu bet.

Marbleu turned up a whopper of a hand, {2-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {8-Spades} {A-Spades} ({A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {2-Clubs}), for a full house and Bonomo mucked. He is down to 15,000 chips.

Watson Clips Chiu

Stud

Mike Watson has taken a nice early pot from David Chiu. We caught the action with the cards being dealt on sixth street with Chiu checking his pair over to Watson who bet. Chiu called, and then check-called on the river. The boards were as follows:

Watson: {K-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} ({2-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{9-Hearts})
Chiu: {6-Spades}{J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts} (X-X-X)

Watson made three pair but only two count - still enough to beat Chiu as he sighed and mucked his cards. Watson is up to 34,000 with Chiu back to 10,000.
