Jon Turner was all in on fifth street against Frank Cremen. When Cremen made his flush on sixth, Turner's only hope was to catch a jack or a ten on the river to make a full house. He hit the case jack to double up to 200,000 while Cremen was left with 165,000.
Erick Lindgren was all in on third street, his split tens up against Deeb's rolled-up jacks. Though both players rivered full houses, Deeb's was the higher of the two with jacks full of fours to Lindgren's nines full of tens, and E-Dog hit the rail.
Tony G completed on third street and David Chiu called. Tony G led out on fourth and fifth streets, Chiu calling him down, but check-called a bet from Chiu on sixth. Both players checked the river.
Chiu turned up for two pair queens and tens, but Tony had him with in the hole for aces up.
John Monnette completed, Tony G raised and Monnette called. Monnette made the low board on fourth and led out, Tony G making the call. Monnette then bet fifth street and Tony G called. On sixth street Monnette checked, Tony G bet and Monnette called. Same story on the river.
Tony G showed for a 7-6-5-2-A low and took down the pot, increasing his stack to 480,000.
Hasan Habib has been amongst the leaders for the first two days of this H.O.R.S.E. but like a marathon, this event isn't won in the early stages.
Habib has been struggling today as we recently caught him tangling with Chau Giang in a recent Stud-8 hand where the two players switched control of the pot. Giang led on fourth, Habib took over on fifth before Giang led again on sixth. On the river Giang fired again but Habib gave it up.
Giang: (X-X) (X)
Habib: (X-X) (X)
Giang is up to 300,000 with Habib down to just 170,000.
