Bill Chen (X)(X) (X)
Gus Hansen (X)(X)
Erik Seidel (X)(X) (X)
A massive pot had built on sixth street when we caught up with this hand. Chen led out on the river, Hansen folded and Seidel made what looked like a crying call.
Chen showed , rivering a 7-5-3-2-A low to take down the monster pot. He's now up to 648,000 in chips.
Erik Sagstrom completed, Ville Wahlbeck raised and Jon 'PearlJammer' Turner called all in for his last 26,000 chips. Jim Bechtel then reraised forcing a fold from Sagstrom as Wahlbeck made the call.
With only two live players left, they checked fourth and fifth before Wahlbeck fired a bet on sixth. Bechtel called and then called all in for his last chips on the river.
Wahlbeck showed a jack in the hole for jacks and sixes which was enough to win the side pot as Turner scooped the main pot with () for a straight and low to send Bechtel to the rail.
Turner was able to chip again in the very next Stud-8 hand to now sit a bit more comfortably with 150,000 chips.
John Hennigan completed on third street, David Bach raised and Hennigan called. Hennigan led out on fourth street and Bach called. Both players checked on fifth. Sixth street brought a bet from Hennigan and a call from Bach and they checked on the river.
John Kabbaj raised from middle position, Gus Hansen three-bet from the button and Kabbaj called. The flop came down and Kabbaj check-called a bet from Hansen. Kabbaj did the same on the turn when the fell. The river was the .
"I really hope I get something back," said Hansen as he rapped the table.
"Did you check?" asked Kabbaj.
"Yes. That's an official check from Denmark" quipped Hansen.
Kabbaj held for a 7-6-5-4-2 low while Hansen's two pair with were good for the high.
