Hansen Collects from Seidel

Razz

Gus Hansen (X)(X) {2-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {6-Spades} (X)
Huck Seed (X)(X) {10-Diamonds}
Erik Seidel (X)(X) {7-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {9-Spades} {5-Clubs} (X)

Huck Seed brought it in, Erik Seidel called, and with a roll of his eyes, Gus Hansen tossed in a call as well. Hansen led out on fourth with a board of 2-3, Seed insta-mucked, and Seidel called. Seidel made the low board on fifth when Hansen caught a queen. He led out, Hansen raised, and Seidel called. Seidel led again on sixth street and Hansen flatted. Seidel checked the river, Hansen bet, and Seidel called.

Hansen turned over {8-Hearts} {5-Spades} {6-Clubs} for a 8-6-5-3-2 low. Seidel mucked and was left with 170,000 in chips while Hansen was up to 930,000.

Monnette Gets Quartered, Doubles Back Up

Omaha-8

Tony G raised before the flop and John Monnette called. The flop came down {K-Spades} {8-Clubs} {3-Spades} and Monnette check-raised Tony G's bet. The G came back with a reraise and Monnette called. The turn fell the {9-Spades} and Monnette bet his last 12,000 in chips. Tony G made the call.

Monnette {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {2-Hearts}
Tony G {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}

The river was the {5-Spades} and Tony G took the high with two pair kings and nines. They both had the same low with 8-5-3-2-A and chopped the low half, leaving Monnette with only 32,000 in chips.

A few hands later, he got those chips in the middle against Scotty Nguyen on another Omaha-8 hand.

Monnette {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {3-Diamonds}
Nguyen {Q-Hearts} {6-Spades} {5-Spades} {2-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {3-Spades} {2-Spades} {6-Diamonds} and Monnette scooped with a pair of aces and 6-4-3-2-A low to double his stack to 64,000.

Bach Rivers Hennigan

David Bach
David Bach
Hold'em

On a flop of {8-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} David Bach check-called a bet from John Hennigan. The turn was the {K-Spades} and Bach checked again. Hennigan bet and Bach called. The river came the {Q-Diamonds} and this time, Bach bet out. Hennigan made the call.

Bach turned over {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} and Hennigan cringed as he mucked his hand. He's down to 315,000 while Bach is up to 950,000.

Seed Escapes with a Scoop

Omaha-8

Gus Hansen made a button raise, Huck Seed called from the small blind and Erik Seidel called from the big blind. The flop came down {10-Spades} {7-Hearts} {2-Clubs}. Seed checked to Seidel, who bet, Hansen raised, Seed called and Seidel called. Everyone checked the {Q-Spades} on the turn as well as the {2-Diamonds} on the river.

"I have a button hand that has a chance," quipped Gus Hansen.

Seed, however, turned over {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {3-Clubs} for top pair and with no possible low, he scooped the pot.

Clements Recovers

Scott Clements
Scott Clements
Hold'em

Scott Clements has very quickly turned his fortunes around with two double ups in succession to keep his head above water.

In the first hand, Hasan Habib opened with a raise, Clements reraised all in for his last chips and Habib made the call.

Habib: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Clements: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Clements spiked a set when the board ran out {Q-Spades}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{A-Spades} and he was back to about 120,000.

A moment or two later he took {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} to war against the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} of Thor Hansen and won the race when the board landed {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Spades}{J-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} to give him another double.

Suddenly Clements is back to 280,000.

Clements Crippled by Bach's Rockets

Hold'em

Preflop, Scott Clements raised and David Bach reraised. Clements made the call and they took a flop of {7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

Clements checked, Bach bet and Clements made the call. The turn brought the {10-Spades} to put a pair on board but that didn't slow down Bach as he bet and Clements called again.

The river was the {K-Spades} and Clements check-called for a third time in the hand, but Bach showed him {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} for aces and tens to take it down.

Clements slips to just 50,000 to be on the short stack and Bach cracks the one million chip barrier.

Razz

Matt Hawrilenko has taken a hit during a Razz hand after bricking on the river. The pot was inflated when we arrived at the table with Hawrilenko firing a bet on the river but Deeb made a big call.

Hawrilenko tabled {2-?}{7-?}{A-?}{J-?} ({A-?}{3-?}{A-?}) for a jack-low after catching three aces as Deeb revealed {2-?}{10-?}{6-?}{6-?} ({7-?}{10-?}{3-?}) for a ten-low to take it down.

Hawrilenko is down to 175,000 with Deeb up to 650,000.
