Dick Carson raised all in pre-draw for 7,400 and was called in two spots. The first caller was Davidson Matthew and the second caller was Layne Flack. Carson drew one, Matthew drew two, and Flack drew one.
After the draw, Flack fired out 8,000. Matthew folded and then Flack revealed . Carson mucked when he saw he couldn't beat Flack's hand and was eliminated from the tournament.
Matthew dropped to 30,500 on the hand while Flack increased to 40,000.
Mike "The Mouth" Matusow raised to 1,625 from early position before Derric Haynie moved all in from middle position for 7,400 total. Phil Ivey flatted on the button and then everyone else folded, including the original raiser Matusow.
Haynie stood pat and this sent Ivey into the tank. He removed his headphones and dropped them on the felt behind his chips as he stared at his opponent. Haynie sat motionless. Eventually, Ivey elected to stand pat behind.
Haynie slid across the felt and Ivey mucked his hand, mentioning that he held a nine-seven low. Haynie is now over 16,000 chips.
Tom Schneider raised all in from the small blind to 4,500 after action folded to him. The player in the big blind called. Schneider then stood pat as did his opponent. Schneider showed to edge out his opponent's and scoop the pot. Schneider is now up to 10,000 chips.
John Monnette raised from the cutoff to 1,800 and David Grey called from the big blind. Monnette drew one while Grey drew two. Both players then checked.
"King." announced Grey.
"King." responded Monnette.
"King-nine." came back Grey.
"I got a king-nine-six." announced Monnette.
Grey then mucked his hand and took the pot to increase his stack. Grey dropped to 18,000 chips.
Freddy Deeb just got moved to Erick Lindgren and John Juanda's table. Deeb said, "If I'm still here at the end of the night, let's vote on whether or not we just want to come back tomorrow and play it out." Juanda agreed, as did some others at the table.
"But if I'm not here, I won't worry about it." Deeb finished.
The entire table laughed and all stated that they agree on taking the vote. Deeb went on to say, "Some people are here for the bracelet, some people are here for the money."
Juanda added, "Some people are here for the points."
