Bach had the last of his chips in on third street and was up against Hansen. On fourth street, Hansen improved to a pair of fours, but was still behind the jacks of Bach. He pulled ahead on fifth street though when he hit another four and then filled up on seventh. Bach was left with just jacks and sevens and was sent to the rail as Hansen moved to 86,000 in chips.
It's been a heck of a World Series for Russian Vladimir Schmelev. He finished runner-up in the $50,000 Player's Championship and then placed seventh in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud World Championship. If you check out the chip count page, you'll see his name at the top of the board and it looks like we're going to have to start getting used to his name. It's only the eleventh day at the 2010 WSOP and alredy this guy is making himself well known around the Rio.
Dan Heimiller: (X)(X) / - fold
Max Pescatori: (X)(X) / / (X)
Jennifer Harman: (X)(X) / / (X)
Harman bet fourth street and both players called. On fifth, Harman bet again when action got to her and only Pescatori made the call. On sixth, Pescatori check-called a bet from Harman and then led seventh to which Harman called.
Harman turned up the for a pair of queens and an eight low. Pescatori showed the -X for an eight low as well, but a worse one than Harman's. He actually tried to grab half the pot, but Harman made sure the dealer corrected him and shipped the entire thing her way.
Pescatori dropped to 140,000 and Harman increased to 84,000.
Barry Greenstein (X)(X) / / (X)
Erik Seidel (X)(X) / / (X)
Chip Jett (X)(X) / / (X)
We picked this hand up on fourth street as Barry Greenstein checked over to Erik Seidel, who bet all-in. Both Chip Jett and Greenstein called. Greenstein led out the rest of the way and Jett called him down.
Seidel turned up and won the main pot with sevens full of fives. Greenstein showed for aces up to win the side pot and Jett mucked.
Seidel is back up to 35,000 while Greenstein is on 73,000.
Jason Mercier: (X)(X) / / (X)
Robert Mizrachi: (X)(X) / / (X)
When the action was all said and done, Mizrachi turned over the from the hole and had just a pair of fives with no low. Mercier held the for tens and sevens with no low. Mercier scooped the entire pot and sent Mizrachi down to 19,000 chips while he moved himself to 90,000.
There seems to be some ranting going on over at Phil Hellmuth and Allen Kessler's table because of a recent hand involving Kessler and Stephen Su. Hellmuth is ranting about how bad Su played the hand in which he doubled Kessler up with just about nothing. Kessler is ranting about how he only put in 9,000 and got 50,000 back. From what we gathered, Kessler made two pair and Su held just a pair of kings.
"I thought we got rid of these players on Day 1." said Hellmuth.
Barry Greenstein was all in against Brandon Adams. Greenstein's hand ran out -X and Adams' hand ran out . Adams made two pair, tens and sevens, and sent Greenstein to the rail. As he always does, Greenstein autographed his book and passed it to Adams, who seemed very surprised that he got the book.
