If you're around Las Vegas and want to meet some of the PokerNews crew and play some poker with them, check out the $4/$8 game at Hard Rock that started tonight at 8:00 p.m sponsored by PokerNews. Annette Obrestad and some of the DeucesCracked coaches came out last week and the game was a blast! The Hard Rock throws in so many promotional incentives how could you not want to come out for it?!?
For more information, see here. We hope to see you there!
A player raised from the cutoff, and Daniel Negreanu called on the button. They went heads up to a flop, and Negreanu called a bet. After the put four diamonds on the board, Negreanu called all in for his last 500 and tabled . His king-high flush was more than god against his opponent, who was drawing dead with . The on the river gave both players a flush, but Negreanu's was better and good enough to double him up.
Players are back in their seats and have been ready to go for a few minutes now. We're just waiting on the color up of the T25 chips, and then it will be time for Level 7.
And it's not because Teddy "Iceman" Monroe is in the building.
There is a serious vent problem in the back right corner of the White Section of the Pavilion Room. It's so bad that some players have blankets to go along with their hoodies, jackets, gloves, scarves and long johns.
OK, maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration...but people really do have blankets.
Hopefully the problem can be resolved and the temperature in the room can push back above 32° Fahrenheit.
Eric "EFro" Froehlich was down to his last 300 chips when he moved them in blind preflop. There were a series of raises and calls from three players including Gavin Griffin and Svetlana Gromenkova.
Gromenkova was checked to in position on every street, and she bet every street.
In the end the board read and Gromenkova tabled for a pair aces.
EFro slowly sweated his cards finally and the first was an ace we presume because his face lit up. After sweating the second hard he quickly turned over for a worse ace, and exited the tournament area.
Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke is also MIA and we presume he's hit the rail as well.
Justin Bonomo is holding it down for the Shout Box Parents though, he's sitting with about 14,000 chips.
