Ashk and You Shall Receive

Ashkan Razavi
Ashkan Razavi

Ashkan "Ash" Razavi just won a much needed pot at our final table.

Nenad Medic limped from under the gun and Razavi potted to 72,000 on the button leaving just 129,000 behind. The blinds folded and Medic tanked before making the call.

The flop fell {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Spades} and Medic checked to Razavi who moved all in. Medic's hand instantly hit the muck, and Razavi dragged in the pot chipping up to 226,000.

Another for Dang

Ashkan Razavi raised to 24,000 from early position and was called by Klinghammer Thibaut on the button and Trai Dang and Nenad Medic from the blinds.

"Dealer," John "Tex" Barch blurted. "Can I get my cards back?"

All four players checked the {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop and the {7-Hearts} on the turn.

When the {A-Spades} rivered though, Dang led for 45,000. Medic folded, Razavi called and Thibaut released.

Dang opened {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a rivered full house and Razavi mucked his hand.

Razavi slipped to 260,000 chips and Dang is now second in chips with 860,000.

Big Pot for Dang

Trai Dang
Trai Dang

Klinghammer Thibaut opened the pot with a 26,000-chip raise under the gun and Trai Dang called on the button.

The flop ran out {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Thibaut check-called a 40,000 bet from Dang. When the {6-Diamonds} hit the board on the turn Thibaut checked again and Dang fired a 100,000-chip bet. Thibaut called.
The river card was a {j-Hearts} and after Thibaut checked, Dang bet out 200,000 chips. Thibaut tanked and eventually folded.

Dang moved up to 690,000 chips and Thibaut slipped to 590,000.

Blair Rodman Eliminated in 7th Place ($32,007)

Blair Rodman - 7th Place
Blair Rodman - 7th Place

We have lost one of our two previous bracelet winners in the first hour of play here at the final table.

Action folded to Blair Rodman who raised to 26,000 from late position. Klinghammer Thibaut called from the big blind and the flop fell {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

Thibaut checked and Rodman reached for orange T5,000 chips betting eleven for 55,000. Thibaut announced pot (223,000) which was enough to put Rodman all in and he indeed made the call.

Showdown
Thibaut: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}
Rodman: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Thibaut had a pair of sixes and a flush draw and Rodman had top pair with a super, mega wrap.

The {A-Diamonds} on the turn was a big dud for Rodman and it gave Thibaut a leading two-pair. The river was another high card, the {K-Clubs}, and it eliminated Rodman from the tournament.

Rodman can add $32,007 to his already impressive list of tournament cashes and Thibaut now sits with 790,000 chips.

Razavi Pots

After a few raise-folds hands, the action folded to John "Tex" Barch who opened for 35,000 on the button. Ashkan Razavi thought for a second before potting to 117,000 from the small blind. Blair Rodman surrendered his big blind and the action was back on Tex.

"Pull it in please," he asked the dealer.

Barch stared down the pot for a moment or two before finally releasing.
