Welcome back to the 2010 World Series of Poker!

Today is Day 1 of Event #26: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em / Six Handed which is our third of five short-handed events at this year's series. The remaining short handed events are the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em / Six Handed and the much anticipated $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em / Six Handed.

The field should be very impressive today. Short handed play attracts the best live and online players alike and the $2,500 buy-in will attract less people than your average stimulus event but the average skill level is sure to increase.

Brock "T Soprano" Parker took this event down last year and it was his second short handed bracelet won THAT WEEK. He defeated Joe Serock heads up and took home $552,745 with his shiny, new bracelet.

The cards are set to be in the air at 12:00 p.m. PST after our tournament director gives us that famous phrase: "Shuffle up and deal!"

We hope you will join us for this and every event at the 2010 WSOP right here at PokerNews.com!
