Christoph Kwon led off the action with a raise from UTG, Eli Elezra three-bet from UTG+1, and Jameson Painter made it four bets to go from the small blind. Kwon called and Elezra called all-in.
Painter led out on the flop and Kwon called. The turn was the and Painter led again. Kwon called. The river fell the and Painter made a third bet. This time, Kwon folded.
Painter showed , winning the side pot, then collected the main when Elezra showed . Elezra hit the rail, Painter is up to 210,000 and Kwon is down to 125,000.
Kenny Hsiung was the first raiser preflop, and Phil Ivey made it three bets to go. Brock Parker promptly four-bet it, and Hsiung went ahead and capped it at 20,000 preflop. Both Ivey and Parker put in the calls to go to an expensive flop.
It came down , and Parker checked from the small blind. Hsiung bet, and Ivey made the call to put himself all in. Parker called as well.
That put them onto the turn, and Parker check-raised this time, with Hsiung calling the extra bet. The river filled out the board, and Hsiung called one more bet from Parker. Cards up, gents:
Parker:
Hsiung: MUCK
Ivey:
Ivey's nines looked good preflop, but Parker's set of sevens was hard to beat, and he has eliminated Mr. Ivey from our event. That moves him up to 195,000 in the process, while Hsiung takes a step back to about 175,000.
Tom Dwan opened for a raise and Mark Klecan called. Both players checked the flop. The turn was the and Klecan check-raised Dwan's bet. Dwan called, then looked up Klecan when he bet the on the river.
Klecan showed and Dwan mucked.
With 10,000 left, Dwan committed the rest of his chips to the pot with and got two callers, including Klecan. They checked down the board.
Klecan showed and took down the pot as Dwan hit the rail.
Justin Bonomo was down around 30,000 when he got himself all in on the turn of a board that showed . He was at risk and still on the draw with , live to 15 outs against David Chiu's .
The river looked good for Chiu, but it made Bonomo the winning spade flush, securing his double up and ensuring he'll stick around for a while longer. He's back to 72,000 now, sliding Chiu down to 108,000.
Greg Raymer just came over to our reporter on the rail and asked who the chip leader was. Before we could show him where Simon Morris was sitting, Raymer cut us off. "Eh, don't worry about it. I'll take David Chiu in a last-longer against anyone. Having fun, David?"
Chiu looked up from his cards and shook his head slowly adding, "It's no fun over here."
"I know," Raymer said. "The only people who are having fun right now are Jerrod (Ankenman) and Bill Chen. I only make fun of limit hold'em because I don't understand it that much." Bill Chen was at the table, and he thought that was just hilarious as he broke into a fit of childish laughter.
And just as quickly as he had appeared, Raymer headed off along the rail and out the door.
We picked up the action on the turn as the board showed , and there was about 100,000 in the pot already. Justin Bonomo made a bet to leave himself just one lonely T5,000 chip, and Zvi Groysman tanked and eventually raised to put Bonomo at risk.
Groysman tabled , and he was well ahead of the of Bonomo. "ZeeJustin" could not pair up on the river, and just moments after doubling up, he has been eliminated.
