Talk About a Stacked Table

We all know the big names like to register late or some of them are still stuck in other events. Many of the late registrant tables are pretty stacked with multiple big names, but this one in particular really caught our eye.

Seat 1: Humberto Brenes
Seat 2: Hasan Habib
Seat 3: Phil Gordon
Seat 4: Tom Dwan
Seat 5: Eli Elezra
Seat 6: Andy Black
Seat 7: Alex Kravchenko
Seat 8: --empty--
Seat 9: Randall Flowers

More Team Pros

The group of players representing Team PokerStars Pro has just grown a bit with a couple late additions. Joe Hachem from Team Pro Australia and Alex Kravchenko from Team Pro Russia have joined the field. Humberto Brenes from Team Pro Costa Rica is also in the field now.

More Late Arrivals

With the close of Level 2, that means registration is now closed. Some players had to wait until after the first break to get in on the action. Some of those now joining the fray are Steve Zolotow, Andy Bloch, Mohsin Charania, Matt Afleck, Brent Roberts, Erick Lindgren, Dan Heimiller, Ashton Griffin, Josh Arieh, Shaun Deeb, David Williams, Eli Elezra, Tom Dwan and David Levi.

Top Set Works For Hougaard

Pot-Limit Omaha

On a {2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board with a little over 10,000 in the pot, Jesper Hougaard was all in for about 5,200 with two opponents still to act. The first folded, but the second called instantly.

Hougaard: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Spades}

"Am I drawing dead?" asked Hougaard's opponent.

Not dead, but to the last deuce in the deck. It didn't fall on the river and Hougaard is up to about 21,000.

Schwartz Booms

Pot-Limit Omaha

Ylon Schwartz HAD 5,075 chips, but just about tripled his stack in a three-way all-in hand in Omaha. Schwartz held the {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{10-Hearts} and was up against the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{2-Spades} and the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Schwartz moved up to 13,000 in chips while busting one of the other players in the hand.

Flack Having a Day

Layne Flack was ever so kind in letting us know how his day is going just after he switched tables. Flack put his chips down and tossed the dealer his new seat card before walking a few feet over to our desk and mentioning a few things to us.

"I just showed these mother f***ers four plays they've never seen. Got them wondering what tournament they're in," he said. He then walked back over to his table for a moment and then came back over the way to continue on.

"Got a guy to fold jacks on a seven-high flop in hold'em, then called a guy for his whole stack with a pair of tens, that's it, in Omaha. Laid down a full house to next mother f***er!" were Flack's comments with a big grin strewn across his face as he's up to about 17,000 in chips.

Chino Eliminated

Chino Rheem

Pot-Limit Hold'em

After an early position raise and a JC Tran call on the button, a short-stacked David "Chino" Rheem raised to 1,000 from the small blind. Only the early-position player called and the flop came down {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Chino put in his last 50 and his opponent called.

"Have a pair?" asked Chino. Upon being shows {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} Chino noted, "That's a good pair." Chino found no help for his {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} as the turn and river fell the {3-Clubs} and {J-Spades}, respectively.

"Good luck," said Chino, graciously exiting the tournament area.
