Chiu Out

On a flop of {2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, Michael Mizrachi, from under the gun, made it 1,500. The player to his left then bumped it up to 4,000. David Chiu moved his remaining stack in the middle (which was very short - four lime green T25 chips). The player in the cutoff made the call and when it got back around to Mizrachi, he made it 9,000. The player to his left called off his remaining stack, and the player in the cutoff folded.

Mizrachi: {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Chiu: {k-}{k-}{9-}{5-}
Opponent: {10-}{9-}{9-}{6-}

The board bricked for Mizrachi, and Chiu couldn't catch up either. Their opponent's flopped boat won him the pot and he was shipped the chips, while Chiu made his exit.

Keep Your Friends Close, and Your Enemies Closer

Ilari Tahkokallio and Kevin MacPhee keep showing up at the same table. They got heads up in the £1,000 PLO event at EPT London last year, and Tahkokallio took the victory for £30,000. MacPhee ended up with the bigger prize, however, when he beat Tahkokallio heads up at EPT Berlin Main Event for €1 million. They're seated together again tonight, and Tahkokallio got the best of Kevin in this one:

They were heads up by the time the board had completed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Ilari checked to Kevin, and bet 2,500. Then Tahkokallio check-raised him all in. MacPhee shook his head, knowing he'd been caught, and folded with only 3,600 behind. Tahkokallio took the pot and moved up to 16,000.

Hougaard Takes One from Barbero

From middle position, Jose “Nacho” Barbero made it 800. The player on the button called, as did Jesper Hougaard from the small blind.

The flop came down {7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Hougaard checked to Barbero who tossed in 2,100. The player on the button folded and Hougaard made the call.

The turn brought the {q-Spades} and Hougaard check-called Barbero's 4,000 bet.

On the {8-Clubs} river, both player checked.

Barbero flipped over {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} first and Hougaard said, "I've got that beat," as he tabled {j-}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Barbero flicked his remaining cards in the muck.

Ayaz Knocks Out Kitai

Davidi Kitai bet 2,400 after a raised flop fell {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Ayaz Mahmood potted for enough to put Kitai all in, and Davidi called to put himself at risk.

Kitai: {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Mahmood: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Kitai wasn't looking exactly strong against Mahmood's flopped straight and king-high flush draw. The board brought running aces to give Ayaz aces full of kings with which to bust Kitai. Mahmood is up to 37,000.

Forrest Donates to Peachy

Ted Forrest checked the {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} board over to Eric Liu, who bet 2,000. Forrest called him, then checked again after the river brought the {k-Hearts}. Liu value bet 4,500, and after two minutes in the tank, Forrest paid him off. Liu tabled {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for kings full of tens, good enough to earn both the pot and a grimace from Forrest. Liu is up to 35,000 while Forrest slipped to 27,000.

Oberstad Looking Good

Annette Obrestad took down a huge pot when she got it all in with {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. She was less than a favorite preflop against kings, but the board fell a favorable {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Her ten-high flush was enough to take it down and boost her stack to 38,000.
