Boosted J Can't Call

Justin "Boosted J" Smith made it 1,600 to go on a flop of {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. His opponent bumped it up to 4,600 and Smith followed along.

On the {k-Spades} turn, Smith check-called a bet of 12,200.

The {k-Diamonds} hit the river, and Smith checked to his opponent, who moved all in for 4,500. Smith promptly folded and is at 23,000.

Mercier Gets a Fold

Jason Mercier bet 2,000 on a board reading {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}, and his opponent check-raised him to 6,000. Mercier looked unphased and quickly moved all in for 7,300 more. The other player definitely wasn't expecting that move. He tanked for four minutes before finding a fold, much to the amusement of the rest of the table. Mercier moved up to 20,000 without needed to sweat a turn or river.

Tieman Takes Down Aces

A player moved all in on a {9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, and Joshua Tieman called to put him at risk.

Tieman: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Shorter stack whose aces are about to get cracked: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}X

The {10-Spades} on the turn ended the sweat pretty fast, and after the {7-Clubs} on the river, Tieman's unhappy opponent hit the rail and Tieman moved up to 57,000.

Parker Pays off Mahmood

The flop fell {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and Ayez Mahmood got all of chips in the middle against opponent Brock Parker.

Mahmood: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for top two
{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a wrap draw

The {2-Clubs} took a few outs away from Parker, and the {a-Clubs} gave Mahmood aces full of jacks for a full double up to 50,000. Parker was left with 18,000.

No Peeking

The board read {6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}{a-Diamonds} when we walked up to the pot and Tom Dwan had moved all of his chips in the middle against Yevgeniy Timoshenko.

Timoshenko went in the tank and as he was thinking, Dwan sat there stone-like. Finally Timoshenko asked, "Can I see the river?"

Annie Duke looked up from the game she was playing on her phone and said, "No."

"Are you sure," Timoshenko asked. "Yes, you can call the floor." Timoshenko folded his hand and Dwan started stacking his chips, when Timoshenko looked through the deck that the dealer had placed on his left.

Dwan took his cards and slammed three down, {9-}{3-}{7-}.

Matusow Gets the Schafft

Kevin Schaffel raised preflop, and Mike Matusow three-bet to 4,100. Schaffel called, and they went heads up to a {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop. Schaffel checked, and Matusow checked behind. After the {5-Clubs} on the turn, Kevin bet 6,000, and Matusow made the call. Schaffel made another big bet - 15,000 - after the river fell the {4-Spades}. Matusow took a solid four minutes to slide the calling chips across the line. When he did, Schaffel tabled {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a rivered two pair. Matusow was livid that Schaffel had rivered him, but there was nothing he could do but splutter. Schaffel is up to 88,000 while the Mouth fell to 38,000.
