Not a Good Draw for Lee

Bernard Lee got involved in a hand with an opponent where both players drew two cards after the first draw. Lee's new cards got mixed up with the other player's discards somehow and the other player got two new cards off the top of the deck before Lee got his two new cards. The floor was called and after a long discussion, Lee's opponent was pulled to the side by the floor. He whispered to the floor the cards he threw away and then the floor came back and gave Lee the new cards he was supposed to get that accidentally got mixed up with the other player's discards. Then Lee checked and his opponent bet. Lee called.

On the second draw, both players drew one. Lee checked and his opponent fired. Lee called. On the final draw, Lee drew one and his opponent stood pat. Lee then fired a bet, to which his opponent raised. Lee put in a reraised and then his opponent re-reraised. Lee just called and asked if his opponent made number one. His opponent tabled the {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for numero uno and Lee disgustedly tabled the {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and lost. Lee's down to just 2,300 chips after that confrontation.

Lind Wins One Before the Break

George Lind raised under the gun and Jason Potter three-bet from the cutoff. Lind called and drew two to Potter's one.

Lind liked what he received, check-raising his opponent. Potter called and Lind stood pat. Potter drew one and check-called, with the same action occurring after the third draw.

Lind tabled {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-} to win the pot and up his stack to 11,000. Potter took a small hit down to 9,500.

Filippi Makes the Call with a Pair

After the first draw, Bill Chen checked and Amnon Filippi fired. Chen made the call. Both players then drew one card each. Chen checked and Filippi checked behind. On the final draw, both players again took one apiece. Chen fired and Filippi thought for a second before making the call.

Chen had made a straight and in 2-7 Lowball, straights are bad. He had the {6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Filippi made a solid call with the {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{3-}, having a pair in his hand. Filippi improved to 15,000 chips while Chen dropped to 8,000.
