Mortensen's Stack Continues to Climb

Isaac Haxton raised from under the gun and it was folded all the way around to Carlos Mortensen in the big blind who made the call. Mortensen check-called Haxton’s bets on the {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades} flop and {5-Clubs} turn. Both players checked the {3-Clubs} river and Mortensen turned over {J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} which was good as Haxton mucked.

Schulman Scoops Without Showdown

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Barry Greenstein put out a raise in the hijack and Shulman reraised on the button. In the big blind, Greg Debora put out a fourth bet, and both players called to see a flop in a ballooned pot. It came {6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, and Debora led out. Greenstein raised, and Shulman reraised! Both players called, and the turn came the {8-Clubs}. It was checked to Shulman who bet, but this time, Debora was the only caller as Greenstein folded. The river came the {q-Spades}, and Shulman bet out once again after Debora checked. Debora folded, and Shulman scooped the pot to up his stack to 127,000.

Negreanu Busts Another

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

We caught the action between Daniel Negreanu and Alexader Kostritsyn on the flop of {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Negreanu check raised Kostritsyn, who decided to call the raise. On the turn, the {j-Diamonds}, Negreanu bet out, and Kostritsyn thought for about 30 seconds before putting his last 2,400 in. Negreanu called quickly, and showed {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for a flopped set. Kostritsyn only had {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, and was drawing dead. The river came the {q-Spades}, and that was all she wrote for Kostritsyn.

Blind vs. Blind

Action folded to Brock Parker in the small blind and he raised right into Alexander Kostritsyn, who made the call from the big blind. Parker proceeded to bet every street as the board ran out {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{Q-Spades}, which Kostritsyn paid off.

Parker rolled over {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a rivered two pair and Kostritsyn simply mucked.

Isra Dismantles Shorr

Shannon Shorr raised in early position and was called by Ari Engel in the big blind. Engel proceeded to check-call bets on every street as the board ran out {A-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Shorr showed {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} for pocket cowboys, but it was no good against Isra's {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Shorr was left with just 11,200 after the hand.

A short time later, Engel raised from middle position and Shorr raised from the hijack. Engel made the call and then bet the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop. Shorr called off his last 2,200 and discovered he was in bad shape.

Engel: {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Shorr: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

Both the {5-Hearts} turn and {A-Hearts} river failed to help Shorr, and he solemnly made his way to the exit.

Fishhooks for Cajelais

Erik Cajelais raised from early position and Dan Kelly three-bet from the cutoff. Cajelais called and check-raised Kelly on the {10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop. Kelly re-raised and Cajelais made the call as the two checked the {8-Spades} on the turn and {10-Clubs} on the river. Cajelais turned over {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} which was good as Kelly mucked.
