Barbero Tries the Overbet

Nacho Barbero opened to 475, and Fabrice Soulier called out of the small blind. The flop fell {7-Spades}{k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, and Soulier check-called 625 from Barbero. Both players knuckled when the {3-Clubs} turned, and the {6-Clubs} completed the board.

Soulier checked, and Barbero tossed out 2,500. Soulier quickly folded, and Barbero raked in the pot.

Seth Wins With Ace-High, Kling Busted by Set

Lauren Kling folded in first position, the player on the button mucked, and a player in the small blind raised to 750. Andy Seth tanked for a bit before three-betting to 2,050, and the player called.

The dealer fanned {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and both players checked. The turn was the {3-Hearts}, and the player in the small blind checked again. Seth tossed out 2,300, and the player called. Both players checked after the {10-Spades} completed the board, and the player in the small blind tabled {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Seth had {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} though, and won the pot.

A few hands later, Kling had the button and open jammed for her last 3,000 or so. A player in the small blind re-shoved, and the player in the big blind released.

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{a-Spades}, and Kling was eliminated.

Haxton Gets There Against Brikis

Josh Brikis, Isaac Haxton, and a third player took a flop of {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. The action checked to Brikis, who had the button, and tossed out 1,400. Haxton check-raised to 3,500, Brikis re-raised to 8,000, and Haxton moved all in for 22,600 total. Brikis called.

Brikis{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}

The {2-Hearts} on the turn gave Haxton a leading flush, but if the board paired, Brikis would win the pot. The {8-Spades} did not give Brikis a full house however, and Haxton doubled to close to 50,000 chips.

Obrestad Gives One Up

A player on the button opened to 700 and was three-bet to 2,300 by Annette Obrestad from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and the player on the button called.

The flop came {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Obrestad led out for 3,000. Her opponent called.

The turn brought the {3-Clubs} and Obrestad decided to hit the brakes and check, prompting a 4,500 bet from her opponent. Obrestad released and her opponent scooped the pot.

Still, Obrestad has been grinding these past levels and is currently sitting on 45,000.

Hering Busts Mizzi, Balloons Stack

When we arrived at Table 15, Sorel Mizzi was gathering his things, and headed for the exit. {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} was laying face-up in front of Alexander Hering, and the board was {6-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

According to Martins Adeniya, there were a series of raises preflop including a three-bet from Adeniya himself, and eventually the two were all in.

Hering of course held, and is now among out chip leaders.
